Torpors

I awaken to the pitchy darkness covering my face
and I roll over to dig through the nightless dark.
I peep out hoping to find the warm sun; I sigh
and scurry back to the warmth of my bed
amongst the nuts and seeds we stored 
and snuggle with brother and sister.

Wrapped up in a blanket, bliss
Scented woman, loveliness
Surrounds the songbird with his love
Strokes her face with fingerless glove
Moves the hair out from her eyes
Eskimo kisses in disguise
Lips inviting, slightly part

Blast the doors open to its crackling light
And wrap my heart over all of its fury
I snuggle up to the storm raging night

Entwined in wanton ecstacy
Of Snuggle Bunny fantasies

Zombies Snuggle 5x3's

there is a certain blindness...
that hides in plain sight...
between the things seen...

and behind the darkest night...
evolution means...not all seeing...
blindspots of an imperfect manifestation...

they are all around us...
people average thirty percent observation...
their brain supplies the rest...

seventy percent on subjective memory...
thirty percent on objective truth...
enter insight...beginning what's real...

common sense and social empathy...
see your self as inward...

Snuggle

We searched for each other – it turned out in vain.
We lived, loved not very often, we laughted and we struggled.
We promised to walk miles. We did in the rain.
But instead of a soulmate in bed I have cats that snuggle.

I had come up with this poem late last night and wanted to get it penned today, so I wouldn't forget about it.

We Snuggle Close

Stealing a kiss in front of your friends,
ignites that twinkle within your eyes.
And fueled by your sensual smile,
desire assures passion never dies.

You possess exceptional beauty,
rivaling that of the rising sun.
Should clouds gather and teardrops plummet,
we snuggle close till the storm is done.
