Premium Member It's a Stash

OK, here's the take. Actually it was a steal. My roommate took my stash. I need to hash it out. Yet, it a deal already gone. Just like a three and half minute pop song. So here is a retake. Like a record production. Especially for me. So, it out and about. Not a shout out though. Not yet. More a block around and a new stash found. Like with the deal, there a hide for a now. Especially for a sit back. For a lay low. For a good blow. More like a intake. Yet, there's no application. Not yet. So, that's the short end of the stick. To be blunt, there's no blame game. Where my roomie has to hide. It's a no shamer. Yet, there’s a head's up Involved. A solve for today. Like behind a mexican hat on the wall. A hall pass for a stash. It's the best bet for a not yet. I feel legit. But my stash isn't. Not yet!

Senior Planning

At Seventy-eight it will click
You're got the short end of the stick
If you want some fun
Better get it done
"The End" appears pretty damn quick!

Premium Member A Semi

A semi usually refers to a very long truck
But in the land of hooha, it means no such luck
The short end of the stick
For Richard or Dick
But some are unfortunate and that really sucks

God, Why

God, can I ask you a question?
I know you give the hardest challenges to the ones you think can get through it.
But why me?
What if I’m not strong enough to play your waiting game? What if I don’t want to play anymore? This is my life, and you’re toying with it. Why?
I’m not religious. But I’m asking you, from the bottom of my confused soul.
Why?
I’ve been through enough. I’ve gotten the short end of the stick since I was born. Why are you doing this to me?
I’m not strong enough for this war zone.
This war zone that is inside of me, setting fire to my lungs, singeing my muscles, engulfing my organs. I’m burning inside and no one can see that but you.
So if you’re this wonderful person that gave life to the world
why’d you give me the wrong one?

Life After

IF THE CALL THE BITTERSWEET IT WOULD DIE IN DEFEAT.

CHANGES ARISE UPON ME WHERE AM I SUPPOSED TO GO ON THIS JOURNEY.

FEARFUL AND EXCITED AT THE SAME TIME NOT KNOWING WHAT IS GOING TO COME UPON ME.

TRUSTED SO MANY ONLY TO RECIEVE THE SHORT END OF THE STICK.

CARRYING A LOAD THAT SEEMED UNBEARABLE THE PRESSURE MOUNTED AND THE TIME WAS FADING.

SO-CALLED FRIENDS DOING THE UNDERCOVER SHADING.

LIFE THREW ME OFF BALANCE SO I HAVE TO KEEP GOING I HAVE TO CATCH UP.

WHAT LOOKED LIKE A DISAPPOINTMENT BECAME A BLESSING IN DISGUISE.

MY ENERGY HAS BEEN BOLTED UP AGAIN AND MY TIME IS NOT BEING TAKEN FOR GRANTED.

A BURDEN LIFTED OFF OF MY SHOULDERS AND A NEW BEGINNING CAME AROUND FOR ME SO I CAN GROW THE WAY I NEED TO.

PEACE BATHES MY SOUL AND FEEDS MY SPIRIT THERE IS A LIFE AFTER.

THERE IS NEW BEGINNING AS I ENTER THIS NEW CHAPTER OF MY LIFE.

I MUST SEE WHAT UNFOLDS IN FRONT OF ME.

Cry

Here I am a mess of emotions
Afraid to let them out
I don’t want to feel out of control
Yet I am not sure that there is any
Stopping that if I

Cry

In a room full of people
And I still feel all alone
I miss my best friend
My shoulder to lean on
When I needed to

Cry

I feel my eyes start to water
I better go and hide
I wouldn’t want anyone to see
The pain I feel inside
I don’t want them to see me

Cry

It’s going to be a long night
That is for sure
Nightmare after nightmare
Why can’t the memories give me a little rest?
I feel so drained
Weak and defeated
I feel like I am fighting a never-ending battle
And I have the short end of the stick
I keep wondering if I am
Always going to fight this alone
So many times I have been told
To let those teardrops fall
Yet here I am fighting them
Daring my self not to

Cry

Even though in my heart I wish I could just let go
I wish I had someone
To cry on

Iniquity

INIQUITY

The absence of moral or spiritual values afflict
we detest them when at the short end of the stick
life is unfair—we are reminded—the reply quick

Afraid we might not get our piece of pie
even when offenders repent—apologize
never really payback—just a free ride

Further rankled when God’s time is not ours
trapped--Sylvia Plath in her troubled ‘Bell Jar’
choosing anger over trust—restitution bizarre?

How to make right when we have been wronged
biblical options rebuffed whilst hate is prolonged
perfect fairness not ours to harbor all lifelong

God makes things right in His way and time
‘vengeance is mine’ He reminds – never sublime
verdict of iniquity chastened—victimless crime

Root, Root, Root

When you’re at a sporting venue,
You should have someone to root for;
And it’s necessary, also, to have
Somebody to hoot for.

An opponent you can root against
Makes watching much more fun,
And you have such satisfaction
If he loses, when it’s done.

But before the match is over,
You get caught up with the crowd;
Everyone is busy cheering,
Seeing who can be most loud.

Though if your contestant ends up
With the short end of the stick,
You should not regret the fact that
He’s the one you chose to pick.

Give due credit to the other
And remember – time will pass;
For the next time they compete, you know
Your guy will kick his ***!

Shortest Day Trickery

SHORTEST DAY TRICKERY

Again December 23 is almost here
Frost’s darkest evening of the year,
Ok. But what really bugs me
Is that it is the date when we
Are actually closer to the sun
By three million miles - no I’m not making fun.
It’s like going to a supermarket where
It advertises mega-bargains in hardware -
Twenty-five percent off everything,
And then finding that we are paying
Three times the normal price in the western hemisphere.
Seems to me there’s a con trick here.
We’re being ripped off, short-changed somehow.
Getting a steer, having paid for a cow
Getting the short end of the stick
Like being victim of some card trick
I mean who would buy a heater that
Got colder as you moved your chair closer?
Instead of Shortest Day it should be renamed
Shortest End of the Stick Day.
