Piano Two
This young man who played the piano.
Knew something had to be done pronto!
     So during the prayer
     When no one's aware.
He zipped pants right up with a gusto!

Emotion
Burning out the weary energy
Unleashing it like a bunny
Maximizing my merriment
Boosting my inner soul
To shatter through the wall of haggard energy
This emotion zipped through me
With upbeat excitement...

After clearing the weedy green
And rested in my seat,
A bright shade of red caught my eye.
It was a charming bird.
It zipped away
And back to view
Then again vanished
From my sight
As quickly as its approach....

History
Acceding blight, civilization despair.
Entwining fallacy, germinating history.
Ideology jaded, kill-joy labored.
Martyr naught.
Obstinate paladin, quick rumbling spreads,
tense unattainable vicious warning.
Xenophobia yap zipped....

Something In Black
I tried on your love
and it didn't fit
thinking if I altered
I could get it zipped

it just wasn't right
the color was wrong
when I saw our reflection
the fabric was flawed

so back on the hanger
and back on the rack
I'm shopping for color
not something in black...

Premium Member Lips Zipped
You can’t say this, and you can’t say that
Lips zipped that’s what people expect of you
Dancing around the easily offended
Is it better to keep silent? No ...
Silence leads to reading into the unspoken
It creates more problems than makes
These lips will never be zipped....

Anything can be
Alarming.
Bearable,

Riled - Up!
Small and fiesty at first
Tried jumping on couch countless times!
Went to farm; always wishing to be
Mud - splattered and happy
Zipped behind couch
Always loving chase towards the other end
Become ill - and quadraplegic
Had to be put to sleep
Shammi - such a wonderful dauschound...

It's Fall, Y'All
It’s fall, y’all
And as the leaves
Change color, we
Put on long sleeves.

It’s time for socks
And sweatshirts zipped
So when temps drop
We’re well-equipped.

The air is filled
With pumpkin spice
And mums in baskets
Look real nice.

Go apple picking –
Heed the call
Of autumn’s treats –
It’s fall, y’all!...

Premium Member Poor Claire
Poor Claire with arthritis she’d battle,
Her bones would shake like a rattle,
She was always tight-lipped,
But her dress she finally zipped,
Relieved she would go on and prattle.

To Ireland, Claire went on a hop
And promptly was caught by a cop
Her face was so red
For in drink she was bred
Till they fed her with milk and a sop....

Uncoloured
Uncoloured
Untailored
Unzipped
Untied
Unmasked
Untangled

I am unidentified, for no-one can claim to know the depth of my well.
I am no coloured frame of happiness.
I am no tailored garment.
I am not a zipped up pants
I am not a perfectly tied up ponytail.
I am masked with flaws yes.
I am untangling myself from a deeper web.

I am too uncoloured to fit....

Premium Member The Witch and Her Groom Nursery Rhyme
Under the spell of the full moon
A witch married a red fox, now her groom
The foxes rusty tail became her broom
On which she sat and zipped and zoomed
One day the fox got tired, her rusty broom stalled
Became a shadow and slipped through a hedge
The witch now fuming sat on a ledge
Without her broom she became a wretch

Imitation Spring
I saw a cherry tree in bloom;
It must be quite confused.
This imitation spring fools some
But others have refused.

So short-sleeved shirts have made the scene
While certain coats stay zipped,
Though temps have broken records
And at night they haven't dipped.

With March on the horizon
Guess it's not an awful thing
To give in and shuck the jackets
And pretend it's really spring....

Premium Member Crazy
Confused by the cacophonous voices in my head,
Reason has been replaced with paranoia.
Alarmed by my self-destructive tendencies I am restrained,
Zipped into a strait-jacket of my own making.
Yielding to the voices clamor, I surrender myself to insanity.

am not self-destructive. Just so you know)...

Premium Member Peaceful Meadow Dreamscape
Peaceful meadow felt like consecrated ground.
Barely a noise, one songbird’s tweets.
Lovelier on this summer morning than I could have imagined.
I reposed in the grass, smelling lavender nearby.

Lying on my back, communing with the sun,
I felt like God had created this dreamscape especially for me.
A blue dragonfly zipped into my view, then gone.
Her presence verified my feeling; consecrated ground....

"Ravished"

Soft soliloquays
whispered to an
undressed screen
the romance of it all
fever ridden
sent zipped
and unzipped
sensually
feather light
precocious tongues
in cheek checked
tickling ryhmes
let your fingers
do the walking
like long legs
wrapped around
hearts saddled
like hors d’oevres
devils on horseback
sauced, sent,
ravished

The Burt Reynolds
Time’s never obliged ~
Heedless, impetuous fame
Exacerbates traits…
But factitious facades fade
UV-rays on gelcoats, craze…

Retouch, unfinished ~
Tide oblivious, streams on
Rising and ebbing…
Eyes old smile recognition
Young ones urge explanation…

Names so soon obscure ~
Ocean sinking impetus
Leaves afloat, excerpts…
Darn! That cannonball race zipped!
Speedy generations flash…
