Premium Member Violence In Verdant Vales
After berserkers violated, nonviolent, virtuous, souls
residing in Ireland's verdant vales,
victims vented their intense disliking of the vile, vicious,
violent, vikings by valiantly fighting back victoriously....

You should see the Vikings fan at Christmas I was told!
The crazy guy they pointed out was wearing horns of gold.
On each horn this October was perched a jack-o-lantern too.
I wondered if on the 4th of July he wears red, white and blue....

The Vikings were a race of men
That conquered many lands
They fought their wars with might and main
And power in their hands
They sailed the sea in dragon ships
Explored and conquered well
But now their greatness lies beneath
The rolling ocean swell...

Descent
Reaching back, way, way back
To where I originally came.

I find myself in Scandinavia
Land where the Vikings roam.

I notice the red hair and all the pale skin
And understand this was my ancestors' home....

VIKINGS STRIKING

Savage, barbarian pagans who plundered, killed and raped
Still In bloody garments of war, around their women draped
Made erotic love before battles that raged
Wave after wave of terror they waged
Of late through media of TV, have become famed...

Rogering Roger
The gals are besotted with Roger,
he's famed for the size of his todger,
they pay for his time
(he charges a dime) -
he's ninety but not an old codger.

No need of Viagra in force
as Roger's ancestors were Norse
(and vikings were known
for getting a bone) -
his resume says, 'Intercourse.'...

Blacksmith's massive hands
delivering powerful hammer blows,
beating glowing red steel
into submission.
Sparks illuminating
magnificent artistry.
Fiercely wielded
in the name of Odin.
Tales heralded it's glory.
Unearthed, virtually unscathed.
Instrument of death,
1,200 years at peace....

The Clime
Once Greenland
Had bananas
Monkeys sat in trees
Snakes in the grass.
Then it colder
The jungle vanished
Ice took over.
Yet
The Vikings
Did farming
Had cows
And root plants.
When it got too cold
They took the cow
Home
To Norway
In longboats.
The clime
Had changed
Now it is changing
Again.
Will, it ever snow
In New Delhi....

Hail King Aurthur
Now King Aurthur hail, hail
 All the knights armors mail
 Defending castles keep
 Patronages we reap

  In his kingdom enemies beat
 From his armies fleet
 By sword, bow and flail
 Even thunder grows very deep

  Fighting along this iron rail
 Under siege fighting bale
Vikings on a ship setting sail
 Viking ships now beat
 Remember all hail
 Good King Aurthur's seat

          Saga...

Norway
There are many fjords where the Viking ships came forth. Those mighty warriors dominated the lands up north. The fallen in battle would go to meet Odin in Valhalla. For quite a long time, the Vikings ruled Scandinavia. Four centuries before Columbus, they arrived in America. There is a descendent from the Vikings named Harald today. The great land he rules is known as Norway.

Premium Member Evolution Takes So Long
if the vikings were barbarians
then warrior nations are too
we just count differently

the human brain has not changed in over fifty thousand years
yet the imagery is as if genius was just discovered yesterday
the gods are now us

me...this...you...that

real...imaginary

a universe means beyond time
humans and aliens are life from the stars
thought is flint of the mind

Balloon Tethered To a Rock
Attackers clap
Masquerade of busy motion
I'm a rock under the sun
Centrifuge to the spokes and gears
All hero's plunder and pull
Headless vikings with no role
Greasy drug addicts, coarse and bold

Where sagitarius runs her fiery fleet
I'm still dedicated on a one way street
Can't alter this marching bull
Come hectic, come dancers smashing
In the morning, we'll all take up our role
At night singing the stars off their perch...

History Is Bunk
HISTORY IS BUNK

Columbus discovering America? Yeah, right !
Only after a small army of Vikings from overseas
Traded and raided on the coasts for centuries;
And Brendan had navigated from Ireland  to the Bronx;
Not to mention precolumbian wrecks of Chinese junks
Found in the sandy bottom of San Diego harbor;
And the Mongoloid footsloggers who tiptoed south to Ann Arbor
Across the floes of the Bering Strait ten millennia before....

Suckling Pig
Suckling pigs

In the time of the Vikings
when a baby girl was born in the winter
put her naked on a shield
carried her into the woods where she
was eaten by wolves or froze to death.
Piglets are little darling suckling the sow
but not for long they are slaughtered and
roasted and sold for our table.
I ate suckling pig for lunch today the flesh
sweet and soft, the crust tender it was like
eating a baby (which it was) a cruel meal
I rather eat an old goat full of meaty flavours....
