Swirly Twirly
Swirly twirly,
Floating around,
Can't hear a single sound.
Swirly twirly,
Dancing along,
Listening to a tribal song.
Swirly twirly,
Bouncing away,
I will come back another day....

Premium Member Living Her Whirly Twirly Dance
Beautiful reddish gold leaves are turning too fast for me.
Cooler fall days are racing out of control toward autumn.
Living her twirly, whirly dance, activating fall brownies.
Wind chimes go crazy as feral leaf faeries swirl in the wind.
Throwing wasps out of their hiding places, enticing the owls....

Summertime
I.

Ta da, ta da, flip,

like cards in bicycle spokes,

percussive shoe, flop...

II.

Long spaghetti straps,

full circle twirly skirted,

sundress in warm breeze.

III.

Morning sand dune climb,

woven basket, cheese, red wine,

noon apéritif.

the joy of a toy
  twirly, squishy, bounce, bounce
   the toy joy
better than a boy
  or a boy toy
   or a cat nip toy
    shiny, squeaky, bounce pounce
a girls toy
how sweet, a sweet to eat, eat
and what will the poor thing do then
    the joy toy
        oy

a tribute to a pisher e.e. cummings...

Happiness Is Here
I can't stop smiling
My happy sighing
The feeling of weightlessness
I guess this is happiness
My head is in the clouds
I want to shout out loud
Crazy, twisty, twirly
That's the way my stomach is whirling
Jumping, bursting, curling
Myself is unfurling
I'm laughing again
Dancing my way to la la land
Bouncing on my bed
The sunshine behind my head
As free as a dove
I'm guessing this is...
Love?...

Dancing
Twirly, swirly, all around
dancing is fun,
that’s what I have found!

Up, down, touch the ground
dancing makes me giggle,
Oh! How I love the sound.

Dancing frees the soul
don’t hold back,
just let it all go!

Take a stroll
let your feet dance,
and lose control.

Dance and have a good time
having fun
doesn’t cost a dime!

Part-time or full-time
dancing is fun,
all the time!...

Twirly
Tram stops Old lady asks "Am I twirly?"
Conductor looks up tram and shakes his head
On she gets and on we go

As a young lad on the way to school
I often wondered how old one had to be
To be Twirly

Three stops on the way were always empty
Three stops in a row
Trams all stopped

The area was bombed out
No complete houses stood
No one ever asked why they stopped

It made me proud to ride
With folks like that
Twirly or not...

A whirlwind
A force to be reackoned with
A twirly whirly gig-o-ma-jig.
She has so much to show for her efforts.
It is fun to watch her in action.
I see things happening, and I laugh
Knowing she is the cause for a lot of it.
She’s a spitfire, someone says.
I nod.
She’s forever busy, another person adds.
She sure is. Her calendar is full.
Much more full than mine.
And mine is full too.
I was taught by the best.
She is my mother....

Twizzlers
How I love a Twizzler!
It’s a perfect little snack.
You take a bite and yank it
And it yanks a little back.

The strawberry’s my favorite
For it’s chewy and it’s sweet.
It satisfies my sugar fix
And makes a meal complete.

I’m sometimes craving chocolate
But more often what I want
Is a treat that you will never find
In any restaurant:

It’s a twisted, twirly Twizzler!
And as long as it’s not stale,
It will generate a smile
Every time and without fail!...

There once was a girl who got off the couch, she joined a dance class cause she was no slouch; But- when others went this way, her feet were just stuck in clay; Spinning and grinning- she hit a wall - ouch ! ________________________________ March 22, 2016 Poetry/Limerick/twirly girl Copyright Protected, ID 16-770-938-0 All Rights Reserved.
