Please come out here and clear these leaves away.
Bulbs are beginning to bud, come and see. 
Rose bushes need pruned, the trestle is falling.
"Wake up! Get moving!" the garden's calling....

While warm Summer days become longer,
   scent from the garden is stronger.
      Sweet pea and honeysuckle
         creep along the trestle.
          Roses burst to bloom
           as they make room
              in raised beds.

She goes dipping and bobbing,
'Cross the deep blue trestle
Her captain nearly sobbing

Hands at the helm
Still, she does not steer,
Just navigates this realm
Nowhere else to veer

Can she make land
Survive on a whim,
Over white waters' expand
Be it sink or swim?...

Over the trestle bridge.
Fast as a missile.
its whistle blows loud and long.
People wrestle with luggage.
I say to myself..hurry, hurry!
Can't be late. 
through the gate others and I  go.
Nothing can compare.
To going home...

The dahlias were once,
they bloomed once,
now they are churning earth,
in a faraway time
making a living by dying.

Dead, the flowers are dead,
yet the dirt is alive with their progeny.
Uncultivated buttercups
are seeding green pastures,
weeds are building trestle bridges.
Fertile bones are mating in a humming mud

Nothing is too faraway,
to be dead for long.
Soon the heart blooms also....

People are batty
Fruit loops that fly
Come in different colors
Confetti minds

People are special 
They say with a wink

Pick one or the other
No answer is wrong
It's all the above
When people are off...

Bag Lady laid down her head on train trestle
Waiting for the locomotive
The bridge took on a new dimension
Iron and timber became her bed
As she bent with them
Her pillow was the rail
A candle nestled in one hand
A knife held in the other
They symbolized a need for love
Or her desire to simply die
It does not matter at this time
Enlightenment came over her
Rolled down the line like thunder
In the dead of night
On trestle train...

Blue cornflowers and daisies grew
grew in fields under skies of blue.
May was a time for fun and play
play is synonymous with May.
Reds and whites adorn flowerbeds
flowerbeds filled with whites and reds.

Tweeting birds are oft competing 
competing whilst sweetly tweeting.
Green grasses complement each scene
scene inked by abundance of green.
Flowers cling to trestle towers
towers laced with climbing flowers.

Visuals and music were exquisite
Sunsets elicit a sensation of surrender
Poetic lyrics buried amid lovely valleys
Where aspirations and ambitions are born
Promises that are as transitory as a breeze
Aspirations cling to creek bottoms
Just beyond the reach of terrible truths
Despite this awareness, one feels obliged
To fall totally lost in that moment
They were dipping their toes in the mud
Unable to withstand the allure of the present.

My mother’s nuggets, 
They chauffeur her day,
They armour her journey, 
They lace her path. 

They pervade her room, 
In her chamber, they bloom, 
She sings their praises, 
She basks in their ambiance. 

They accompany her in their company, 
They buoy her boat, 
In tempest, she stays afloat, 
They trestle the bridge across ridges. 

They're her windows to view the outside, 
They bring light to her inside, 
They take the wheel, 
They aid her up the hill.
