if you're having fun

Can't wait
Time flies
As I

Minds set
We talk
Hearts lock
Now fed
Soon wed

That time flies, and love is fickle
And life is time, light, passing.
time comes, but it never returns..

No time for hellos
No time for good-byes
Busy, busy, busy, busy...
If so, the purpose of life
must be to stay dizzy
Little wings, as if a bitty bird tries to fly away,
but I clutch this childish muse whose morphed teeny-tiny,
amused at how quickly time flies and how words escape me.
If I were that girl in the photograph
They glared, they stared you had to be there
A room filled with eyes
Was not a surprise
Talk of the town but look how time flies
Oh me! Oh my!
How time does fly,
Like a jet through the sky.

Time flies by at warp speed
and years go swiftly
Children grow into adults
and have children of their own
I feel like I should still be in my twenties,
not well over fifty.
Time flies, but where does it go?
O'er green fields, beyond the snow,
and years of happiness and tears,
to the horizon where we must know
at the vanishing point, it disappears.
Time flies never thought this day would come
Now that its here am I prepared for what needs to be done
I've done my poison now I've said my truth

Minutes, they fall like leaves in Autumn
Scattering wherever they please
Once vibrant, fresh, now limp, lost
Each second, they danced
Their tune, a whisper
In youth lasted
Forever
But now
Gone
Seconds slide into minutes
minutes into years
Only pausing to rejoice
birthdays and graduations
weddings and deaths
Marks on the calendar
to celebrate another creaking joint
and fading memories
Why is it? that time flies
when we are having fun
Yet creeps along so slowly
when we are expectantly
waiting for an event.
Or flashes past
when we look back
on important things
like mile stones.
Fast forward in slow motion
My how time flies
What seemed like only seconds
Was another day passing me by
Minutes turned into hours
Weeks into years
I woke to wonder
How in the hell did I get here
Sylvia's mother
was like no other
as Sloopy is still hanging on
yesterday's songs are not all gone
out of the darkness they'll come
we'll be listening to some
music never dies
