the fence rouses

and later these thoughts have brought me dread.
Previously hidden things, they usually betray,
and thoughtlessly spoken words can’t be unsaid.

A small bird adjusts its stance
feathers ruffle just enough for stability.
it gives no attention to
this balancing act.
The bird is a wind-sailor, it has sea-legs
though it has never seen
the wind or the sea.
Nevertheless,
it thoughtlessly has adjusted the focus
of the universe once more.

of a racing car.
The parched forest floor teems with life
now waits as it grows
slowly at first then quickly
with it's own agenda...

It is fanned by the zephyr
running wildly through the hills
it ebbs and flows with the land
taking homes and lives alike
stopping only at the water's edge.

but blue isn’t you.

But the rain returns your essence

The earth screams self defense.
You snatch the sun’s sensation
and warm yourself at night.
