Taken For Granted
Haiku: By Miracle Man

Freedom isn’t free,
but was bought at a high cost;
the lives of many.
Oxygen like Love
Often taken for granted
Lack one of the two
Face the harsh reality
You will soon be turning blue
Joe Incatasciato Contest- Blue
Brown and sometimes dirt
Dug, trampled and planted
Seeds to grow seeds to sell
Taken for granted
Mixtures of rain and sunshine
This is precious earth
Glassy globules fall,
Slipping through sky’s cotton balls;
Giving life to all.
Dancing through the waterways;
How for granted, we take rain.
Long journey ended, so weary that I can barely stand,
Before a place of such beauty, so long taken for granted,
I know better now, such comforts I have missed, I am home.
emotions can deceive you
as they boil to the top
written all over my face
tucked inside your heart
love taken for better
love taken for worse
love taken for granted
love taken
Sincere apologies
Diabolical policy
My part in your life
losing its novelty
Babe magnet wannabee
Recurring anomalies
Quantity first and always above quality
On Thanksgiving Day
we share bountiful blessings
with loved ones and friends.
Time to pray, and acknowledge-
oft taken-for-granted gifts.

Take it all, leave me with none,
you never quite had enough.
Your love tank full, I bled for you,
taken for granted, made a fool.

Let no man take for granted,
the next man’s patience.
In next man’s heart resides
the blade, golden like furnace
To burn to hell, in vengeance,
in atonements of patience,
once taken for granted
Worth living
Giving, caring, loving, joyful
Valued like a large diamond
Meaningful, precious jewels
Time of renewals
Valued.
Priceless, taken for granted
Everlasting, gifted
Valued.
In the beginning, there was light,
Light to make beautiful God’s great creations.
With this light came darkness,
Darkness to shield these great beauties
So they would never be taken for granted.
-Eddie Belcher
Water: wonderful sustainer of life-
Always taken for granted- an epicenter of strife;
Trickling toxins make it unsafe-
Eventual Love Canals all over the place;
Remand the polluters to a healthy jail space!
all time foolishly taken for granted
in hindsight ever fleeting
once spent forever gone

SHORT-SIGHT IS NOT LIMITED TO PIGS
Swine scorn a pearl, greedily grubbing for truffles.
Their ignorant grunts are taken for granted.
They can’t see very much at all -
Pigs just can’t see beyond the next acorn.
Here;
was there
yesterday,
when in my world
they came and took me
across the black expanse
to lose the freedom of life
taken for granted by others
left behind (light-years away) back home
to ignore emancipation’s beauty.
Life is long
Life can be gone
Life is great
Life can be late
Life is hard
Life is easy
Life is what we live
Life is around us
Life can be taken for granted
Life can be granted
Whatever happens day to day
It is life in everyway
My lady
My ladies, younger
One and two
Can't be taken for granted
Their powerful love
Coloured with forgiveness
Again, I thank my Savior
Jesus, the reassuring joy in my soul
Come death or birth - days
Amen. Shalom shalom friends
Completely chaotic
A beautiful mess
Imperfect perfection
No more, no less
A fabulous disaster
A tortured soul
Pleads for acceptance
A heart that is whole
Delightfully broken
Poetically bruised
Taken for granted
Emotionally abused
Watching and waiting
No gratitude received
Taken for granted
Like the cool night sky,
Gentle ocean waves,
Like the falling leaves of autumn,
Always expected to remain
But, with no one to tend to their needs
Or Admires their eloquent beauty
Many things seen
and not understood
taken for granted
until it's gone
Seen from a distance
longing for the wind
only to watch it blow away
It's a struggle
to chase the moon
trying to ride a star
only to end up face down
in the dirt
Form:
Energy from nuclear power
Taken for granted and tamed
‘Till water fails the cooling tower
There’s not one person to be blamed
Thousands flee released radiation
Poisonous air descends
Threatening all within the nation
People run, searching for friends
life, lost, missing, nature, pollution, time,
LOOSING LIFETIME MOMENTS©
Days flip to nights
Light years lost
Minutes tick to hours
Lifetimes are spent
Lungs take in fresh air
Breaths dissipate bye-bye
Taken for granted
Strawberry fields forever!
In my youth
How time
Lingered
So surreal
Taken for granted
Spent on wishes
Squandered
How ironic
To crave
So profoundly
Wholeheartedly
To wish for it all
Back to treasure
Each nano second

A girl silent as a flower
Never could be prouder
Never lost, always loved
Always mistaken, taken for granted
Careless and carefree
At most, clever and yet so anxious
Truthful but never enough
Here and there, never stopping
Yet she stays an unemployed babysitter
