Notes About The Poem

This is lucky limerick 7 of 11 in eleven days. I was at a protest demonstration yesterday afternoon and have included a picture of one demonstrator's poster in addition to the cartoon below. I'll post more images from recent demonstrations in the coming days.

While most of us shun serial liers, some will make an exception and join or flourish in denial of reality. Turns out that denial of reality is a classic defense mechanism. Trump supporters should take a good hard look at where he's taking us:

I like to swim, but how'd I get here?

For replacement election maps
Texas jumps when Don’s finger snaps
If he keeps control
Trump’s gold toilet bowl
Is where we'll all swim when he craps

His gaudy gold embellishments are as gross as he is. It’s not the Midas touch.

Lin, he has also surrounded himself with some people who hold extreme views. Steven Miller and RFK Jr. come to mind, but they are only a few who relish in autocracy and fascism. It's all rather amazing to watch. Somehow, they've managed to convince enough working people to go along by making immigrants seem evil. People are going to be quite shocked when inflation heats up...especially if he can take over the fed. No great outcry or national strike yet. Smiles!!
