Premium Member The Real Terrorist

I'm expecting a terrorist attack
suspecting my defense's out of whack
I'm bracing for the worst here, all alone
Waiting for my children to come home

Henhouse Party

The chook house was found in disarray;
eggs were broken in a manic affray,
there were playboys galore;
drunk chooks on the floor -
the police are suspecting foul play.

Premium Member The Matchbox

I opened a matchbox
and found a city
woven from shadows and desires.
People carried their lives,
fragile as unspoken sparks,
never suspecting
how my trembling hand
could ignite
their infinity in a single moment.

To the dawn
Never suspecting
That numbers in nature can grow
In a specific sequence that some now understand
The basis of shapes and the way we see nature - compliant, yet proud to be seen

Hoodwink-a Pleiades

Hi, I'm a wooden duck
Hunters uses as decoy
Half suspecting young bucks.
High on the pond I float,
Hidden by the big pines.
His rifle cocked for prey,
Hitting a fawn all fooled.

The Language

I want a language composed of thin words that travel lightly and land on suspecting and wanting lips. Arrogant lips.
I want my words to destroy the air with precision and land upon the lips of Woman who will reshape language for me.

The inflection.

Premium Member Chardon Becomes King for Life

in youth Chardon became king of the dark forest
his intricate lacy antlers showed strength and purpose
the other animals felt God had personally created this handiwork
they nominated and elected him king for life
None of the suspecting he was the antiChrist
But some knew....

Premium Member Into the Woods

Into the woods the three did wander
Graceful teenage girls carefree
I had great cause to ponder
Surely someone held the key
When they were never seen again
Suspecting things grimly gone awry
What evils lurks what evil men
Might dare beneath God’s watchful eye

Hallway Heartbeats

This feeling for you is growing
But nothing is worse than knowing
The emotion I may be showing
Is going to give me away

I'm scared that you may be suspecting
The dots you may be connecting
When my emotions are disconnecting
My hearts beats with no second delay

Your attention becomes so addicting
As I should have been predicting
But my heart is very restricting
It knows it gets hurt this way

Blame Game 201

We prefer putting blame on pastor-counseler
For secretly meeting her without him
He, not suspecting, divide & rule strategem

She later explained, I gave Dean my side
In case you blamed me for our "fall"
It was indeed love (of this world) after all

Best way forward, Dear Heart, seek His Will
Our free will always is our freedom, personality
LORD God never canceled The Commandments Ten

The Inspector

I- Inspector T inspects the place.
N- Nook and cranny is what catches his eye.
S- Suspecting every element in this room can take time.
P- People mostly don't follow this.
E- Even his colleagues can get carried away.
C- Cases like this should be taken seriously.
T- That is why the inspector does his job.
O- Orderly, organized, and ornate is his style.
R- Rusty as it seems, it gets him to find the important clue.

Christmas Blues

Snow falls with my dreams;
Happiness isn't what it seems.
You see the smile on my face,
Not even suspecting that it's fake.
Christmas comes along with tears,
Broken promises, unforgiving fears.
For most, this is a happy time;
For me, it just depresses my mind.
I need someone to spend the season with;
Someone to cuddle, to hold, to kiss.
It could have been you here with me,
But you met her and decided to leave.

Nine Ways I Love You

Longingly, desire to see your face

Achingly, missing your company

Jealously, checking on your emails

Languishing, in your caressing arms

Surreptitiously, following you

Suspecting, your infidelity

Persuading you, to do what I want

Laughing, when you say unfunny jokes

Nine times out of ten, your forgiveness

Storm Shelters

I left at sixteen slamming the front door,
I returned at seventy-four,
gently pushing against rusted hinges.

I won't say I took a long road.
I'll not wail of the shortness of it.
It was just a road,
one that walked me,
flew me, rode me
tramped over me
took me high as low can go.

I'm not gonna say I am at the end of it,
I am just back
and only now entering
a house once left
suspecting that all storm shelters
                          were the same.

Surprise In Disguise

The biggest gift under the tree
was a box full of boxes
each of six, all wrapped but empty.

By the time he'd opened the seventh
and read the enclosed clues,
he was ready for any surprise.
Never suspecting Mom would choose
tickets for his favorite sport.

January 14th, Barclays' Center for hard knocks,
featuring Badou Jack and James DeGale.
He's going to Brooklyn to watch them box.
