Express and Address All of the Mess
Express and Address All of the Mess

Ourselves have to surreptitiously express,
And much stress must be sure to address;
Feeling inside,
Refuse to hide;
All sins with wrongdoings should confess.

Silence 3
No sounds at all - no noise, no talking, no music
No laughter or arguing, no banter
Just quiet -
Panic sets in - don't let those thoughts filter in!
Those thoughts that creep surreptitiously through
Creating doubts and fear and terror...

three trotting turtles
slowly raise a cloud of dust
neck and neck finish

six hissing serpents
surreptitiously slither
escaping their pasts

three city ground hogs
shaking their "jay-lo" booties
cross against the light

Miss Milai murmurs many times to me
Ssshhhh! Snake slithers surreptitiously
Between benches beside your bicycle
My craziest carelessness: catastrophic cry
Carrying my carriage, ‘then I cuddle

Unthinking
Earth was sending a long
shadow on the moon.
A great night for both of them.

        *

A city of dreams
lies still. A divine path
opens for the erring earthlings.

        *

A night falls
surreptitiously on the lake.
The moonlight was trapped by waves.

Stranglehold
Surreptitiously its
Tendrils caress,
Reaching out gently,
Ardently intertwining
Nonchalantly
Gaining ground.
Little by little, it will
Eclipse and smother
Heinously,
Overwhelmingly pernicious if
Left to become
Deep-rooted.

Identically
The town was
fissured.
It does not listen to me
that moribund heart, now.
The biome was ready
to set on fire all the smiles.

No person of god
will lead the prayers to grave.
Let the dust meet the dust
stealthly and
you win the script surreptitiously.
Beautifully done, the obscene death.

A bruise spreads
shattering the mirrors of perfect accident.

Premium Member Simplicity

In a pond, near a stream,
The barefoot little girl crouched silently.
Only the screech of a bluebird was heeded.
Plus prayers for a true friend.
That she really needed.

It was beautiful to see her honesty!
I observed surreptitiously behind
an Oak tree.
Such simplicity in her supplication,
I added my own to her angelical
incantation.

A Wife
A WIFE

Someone buried my rights on previously set soil

And I woke up with the glass between my teeth

What are you staring at, he wondered surreptitiously

And waved his hand, slowly, before my eyes

Before I bit them off, one by one

And the blood ran down, infecting the air with the dog beneath and behind

I’ll put on the red dress, I said

If you watch me do it....

The Final Story

A ragged rhapsody ruminates in relentless repetition as the fathomless

fugitive foments fearful fragmentation thus ethereal eternity engulfs

egregious expropriation of quietus’s quiver quaking querulous quickstep’s

quest when stories surreptitiously seep silently seduced by savourless sadness

Premium Member See How They Run
see how they run

summer come and gone
see how they run

frost, its icy fingers
touched our lands this morning
light crept sluggishly
from behind the horizon
to do battle for prominence
here above my cottage.

the white-cold face of winter
smiled surreptitiously
arrogant in knowing
that his power made all life run
before him as sheep,
stalked by the white wolf.

see how they run!...

PAYBACK

blood oranges oscillate
within plundered peels

squeezed out surreptitiously
bleeding on her heels

clicking brutish jaws
on paper thin walls

the pied piper grins
with greenback gall

HOWEVER...heaven insists,
maligned orange restitution

purification of every last drop.
shark lust sees only the dark

heel-harpoons of every female
stab his comeuppance heart.

Premium Member Double Standards Withstanding
I stand at temptations door...
As anger spurs a grievance withheld.
Surreptitiously you praise the incongruent
While flinging to the wayside the valuable.

Eyes closed to the importance of veracity,
You belabor simplicity with objectivity denounced
As you are drawn only to the iconoclastic.
I long to visualize cronyism obliterated.

Nine Ways I Love You
Longingly, desire to see your face

Achingly, missing your company

Jealously, checking on your emails

Languishing, in your caressing arms

Surreptitiously, following you

Suspecting, your infidelity

Persuading you, to do what I want

Laughing, when you say unfunny jokes

Nine times out of ten, your forgiveness

Far more words than
open ears --
a world of chatter;

words everywhere --
difficult to avoid such
precipitous splatter…

poets use them, vociferously!

Politicians use them, surreptitiously!
Ministers use them rapturously

Words live
when they are infused
with passion; strengthened
by conviction --

my cat says it all
with a well aimed look

twitch of her tail

occasional meow

and luxurious purr...

Pirates
Creaking shadows, creeping over fettered floors
Shattered suspicion, silence cutting jagged scores
Preening portraits, conspicuously hung in full view
Callous hands, bleeding memories which do accrue

Adagio movements, nigh nocturnes of orchestrated harm
Prowling predators, facetious footsteps which do not alarm
Opulent treasures, gaily gleaming behind double doors
Pirated stars, surreptitiously swept off to foreign shores...

Crisis Moment
Stakeholders,
are coming.
There was conflict between
logos and mythos.

One black thorn
was in the flesh.
You come out of the body
to find the window.

One long eel-
surreptitiously enters,
in the guts-
to pluck your eyes out.

But you were
already dead-
after the search of slant light
coming from the liberation.

Crossing the
time zone,
you enter the black hole
traveling at zero hour.

Behind the Blinds
Curtains or Venetian blinds,
Drapings, shutters, shades
Serve to keep our privacy
From peeping Tom parades.

Everybody loves a glimpse
Into another’s space,
Surreptitiously, of course,
And never face to face.

Which is why our views are blocked
With drapery or blind;
Thus it’s more enticing, wond’ring
Just what hides behind.

Often, though, we’ll get a peek
At furniture and shelves
And people who, ironically,
Live like we do ourselves....
