Premium Member Succumbing To Time

Derelict now cold Mossed stones in sporadic spill Ageing arms out spread They, competing for the light Sadly, both succumb to time .

My psychiatrist ain't cheap
now that I swapped the basic for an iPhone 4G.
Guess them Apples really do keep the doctors away!
That is if you have the funds to pay...

Premium Member Two Young Tadpoles

Long ago and far away
In a marsh of murky waters
Did two young tadpoles play

Mired deep inside the bog
  Succumbing to relentless fog
~ Divers only found a pair of frogs

S'Time

Summer sultry sweat
Sends sea-dwellers,
Seeking some solace,
Softly…
Sensually…
Seductively…
Satiating some.
Simply satisfying!
So, succumbing,
Seems so seductively soothing,
Simply stated!

NOSE WOES - limerick

My nose told me it couldn’t get riper
as I opened and peeked in the diaper
one last gasping breath
succumbing to death
single shot from intestinal sniper

Beauty Makes Me Fall

No need for material gain
Yet again I feel your pain
Why are so afraid
To hold the love grenade
Falling victim the explosion
Weathered and succumbing to erosion
I may not be the one who holds it all
Through your beauty I fall

Infallible

Prolonging the inevitable
Wanting this feeling to linger
Succumbing to the infallible
Feeling like we're strangers
Staring at me w/a dormant gaze
Your heart lost in a haze
Wanting us to recount the days
When we were happy & in love.

Siblings
                                      growing older
                                  one after the other
                            succumbing to final illness.

memories sweetly

swirling like cotton candy -

let them melt away

Waiting On the Dream

How the years have hurried by this century
so many wild enticing adventures aplenty,
heroes and heroines succumbing
to every hope and dream forthcoming
even these senior years are not defeated
still breathing life to make the dream completed.

Brought Forth

Yearning feelings, I miss him...
Succumbing, now, to apathy
Memories of "Remember when?"
When I know he's forgotten me

Presently, no consequence
For my wasted, loveless ambition
I do what I can to ease the strain
Of constant change and endless transition

Neglect

Shattered shell the pieces settle, succumbing to time
A spell so subtle.
A fog of complacency numbs the scrapes
As tendrils of memories seep deep-
Tunneling down twisting hard narrow vessels
Until the sickness settles.
This heart will stop-
When healing neglects.

Premium Member Love the Pathfinder

In quiet moments
a compass points to the way
out of time's tide plod
that drags the mind to boredom
confined by reality

Love the pathfinder
bridges the gap to find bliss
beyond mind's limits
when you yield to what drives you
succumbing to true love's pull

Premium Member Wild Hearts

Sting my eyes with your butterfly kiss
bringing out the crazy in me,
Swing upon my highs and lows
things can get a little messy;

Wild hearts seek wildfires
smiled, succumbing to emotional chaos;
Beguiled by little things, they mean so much
exiled relishing in logic’s hiatus.

Premium Member You leave me haunted

I am haunted
by pictures of your smile
your eyes following my every move
desperate for answers
that I can't give
blaming me for your death
for leaving you all alone
not by choice,
but for my sanity
as you lost yours
succumbing to an early death
and unaccomplished dreams

COLD EMBRACE

Cold
embrace
long
stolen
from my arms.
Tempted
love
too weak,
succumbing
without remorse,
betrayal
without
cause.
Lusting’s
rendezvous
seeking
heat
without
fire.

Not Forever, No

she's still looking up at the sky
it's been seventeen years coming
and all she's ever done is try
until the pain was mind-numbing
to always wait
such is her fate

but still she refuses to cry
it will be her unbecoming
she speaks, a lie after a lie
and she is far from succumbing
she will not fail
she can prevail

The Mask

I see a masked shape
in the trees

when the wind blows
the mask laughs
it's leafed face half hidden

it does not mock
as it is trapped, half exposed

the other half is mingled, attached
to it's roots of birth

when the east sun shines
the mask disappears

with a shadow
it jitters and trembles

succumbing to it's
birthright.
