Not Forever, No

she's still looking up at the sky
it's been seventeen years coming
and all she's ever done is try
until the pain was mind-numbing
to always wait
such is her fate

but still she refuses to cry
it will be her unbecoming
she speaks, a lie after a lie
and she is far from succumbing
she will not fail
she can prevail

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
