A podium medal now pending,
honourable mention of sorts,
or another NA in a contest,
NA-DIR of a writer’s naive expectation
Flowers attact both bees and butterflies,
Pink, puffball like silky bloom,
Those lovely Persian silk.

Vengeance worms in its way
after art of submission falls prey
Bass slap riff and chords ring funky,
beats that warm the brass monkey
frontal nudity
she leapt from the highest cliff
falcon fancied top
Poetry Contest submission: Make Me Chuckle With A Haiku
She was
all compassion,
her softness his delight-
as pliancy in power,did
alight

Contest Submission: I Want You
Another submission
of day breaks transition.
Your speaking in tongues now
i hear a gargled transmission.
I waited for too long,
on this planet I call home.

Moss tides

Cornered in a vulnerable position;
kicked and pummeled into submission.
That mad horse had its way,
I lay dazed on the hay,
but am found in a stable condition.
Submission to the sleeping lion
Seeing his shadow as a place to lie in
The darkness of eternal obscurity and sin
Not unveiling our bright star clothed in skin
Lass,
Unblemished by submission,
Familiar beyond Miss,
Unshadowed your smile,
Your modesty of kiss,
Love's early morning -
Yet to come the sun-clear day.
In my flower garden everyday,
Sun verily shines it's bright rays.
I dance, I sing!
I add some zing.
To the jaded flowers, what say?

Have a blessed birthday, Nikee,
God's children possess obedience;
Submission to God is the key
To reach the blissful residence.
Topic: Birthday of Nikee Onyot (March 20)
Verse is simple
Everything in rhyme
Rather elementary
Success in every line
Everyone who enters
In this competition
Eight lines are all that's wanted
So enter your submission
The golden leaves of autumn place imprints in the soft ground,
as brittle naked limbs invite the coming frost in submission,
and winter creeps upon footprints of autumn without notice
This sheet of blinding paper
that's pasted to my face,
this mask that bars my ability to reason,
it scabs my eyelids and
drowns my name,
a constant reminder
of my unwilling demise.

Bitter is the taste

Leaving
slowly
imperceptibly
at first
a syllable
a vowel
a verb
slips away.
unnoticed
in the flush
of discovery
each submission
says goodbye
already you are gone.
