Grouchy blue corpulent cat knew where it was at
She loved her girth, enjoyed her muscles and fat.
Dancing to a square dance, she squashed many a gnat
Enjoying his days, singing rat-a-tat-tat.

The Wonder of You
Your smile

So beautiful

makes robins sing in spring

makes leaves square dance in windy fall,

sweltering summer days quite bareable,

wraps warmth around winter snow falls.

Your laughter rings softly;

my heart's music!

Play on!...

Circle left, hang on tight
Don't get caught in an alligator bite

Allemande left, what you want to do
Is turn that alligator into stew

Do-si-do, listen to the band
Alligator shoes look mighty grand

Roll away to a half sashay
If you're a gator, forget what I say...

Square Dance Patter Splatter - crude
For yer supper, vindaloo,
hop to the music doing a poo,
toilets are crowded, yer tummy is mush,
bang the doors and plead with 'em, 'Rush.'

Drop yer pants and let it go,
paper's all gone (but yet you don't know),
fearing the soap is now missing too, yes?
Well, jus' saying...You're in a mess!

A great genius named Albert Einstein
At the physicist's ball had too much wine
Effecting a photo-electrical stance,
Energetically emcee'd the square dance

Premium Member Nameless Pond
A nameless pond is drying up
lily is showing off her green wooden leg
extending a green cup toward the clouds
green glass frogs are chanting in the shallows
a square dance caller flashes a red bow tie
red eared sliders turn the potter's wheel
around a muddy dime.
Death square dances with life
in the middle of this nameless pond....

Centrifugal bliss,
they twirl, whirl, swirling;
a square dance in the void.

Vibrant marbles in euphoric flight,
gasses in party-mingling,
while Saturn’s rings promenade.

Single’s pass through black holes,
weaving the ring to the
square-dance tunes
of the Universes.

The Square
I love how it’s symmetrical,
Each side a perfect match.
In former days, when jeans were ripped,
It made the perfect patch.

To call someone a square, though,
Was insulting, but a deal
That’s square was something good, just like
Receiving a square meal.

We square away our debts;
A square dance can be lots of fun.
I could go on forever or
Go back to (pause)…square one!...

Bow to the partner in the corner
Hey, this dance ain't nothin' but torture!

Heads lean left and circle to a line
Guzzle down that old moonshine!

Roll away to a half sashay
Get down on your knees and pray.

Circle round and round with the dear little thing
but for God's sakes don't let her sing!

Meet your partner and promenade
Slip a little 'shine in the lemonade!

Allemande left with your left hand
Drop him in a big box of quicksand!...

The Cold Generation
The cold generation

They don’t dance the tango in Argentina anymore
but you can do the twist alone but keep your distance.
However, the elegant the waltz is out, superb dresses
is not a defence against the virus.
To do the swing is awkward to without a hand to hold
on to, I don’t know about square dance though.
We are becoming a withdrawn society, like the Swedes
they are not famed for warmth and kisses.
That is the way they have porno-industry to make up for
the lack of intimacy....
