Bow to the partner in the corner Hey, this dance ain't nothin' but torture! Heads lean left and circle to a line Guzzle down that old moonshine! Roll away to a half sashay Get down on your knees and pray. Circle round and round with the dear little thing but for God's sakes don't let her sing! Meet your partner and promenade Slip a little 'shine in the lemonade! Allemande left with your left hand Drop him in a big box of quicksand!

Congratulations, Jim. That final line had me in stiches as, over the years, I had many dance partners with two left feet and that sounds like a good idea ... Best wishes, Suzette

Thank you, Suzette and congratulations on your win. Your patters were fun to read. (To be honest, if you danced with me, you'd want to throw me in the quicksand! I am the king of two left feet!) Cheers from Canada, Jim.

Thank you very much, Crystol. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. The patters were fun to write. In my part of Canada (Newfoundland), we have square dancing with an Irish flair (one type of dance is called "Running the Goat") and it is always high tempo - very quick...and exhausting! Thanks again. Take care, Jim.
