of joy’s single tear
the substance of a lifetime
spurring eyes upward
as a body freezes cold
God’s servant leaves calling card

Pleiades
Leaping light in dull darkness
Moonlight mambo in nightfall nets
Mediative minds in spurring spaces
Vocal visions in vacant vicinities
Enlightened eyes in doubtful decisions
Queuing quietness in spooky serenities
Peaceful presence in rambunctious reality

Hope is life’s superb motivation
Spurring me to action when in dread,
Believing much better times lie ahead
No matter what the current situation.

Enough poison left inside
To keep me close to the healer,
Paddling alone only
Creates whirlpools.
Together side by side
Power of testimony
Spurring us on.
Power of words
Making grown men cry
Power of stories
Made real to all.

But we’ve all paid dearly.

Rabbits create quickly
fruitful procreation
spurring tender feelings
domestication shared.
I connect with one for
just this dawn, she has birthed
four babies, smack dab in
the middle of my lawn.

He opened a door, approaching a massive thunderstorm.
The lizard king pounding vocal strings at the whisky a go go,
lightning bolts striking everywhere.
He was born groping for doors
that's how he probably died
spurring the flanks of roan thunderheads
in a torrent called we call life.

If what I am doing is called Art
then this must be an attempt
to recuse myself from my own mortality
by leaving a record of personal accountability,
spurring imaginations to judge its spirituality,
dispelling my propensity for any ambiguity.
Sure that's it.
It's Art!

Light Verse
Milky bright sky with rain in her net
Morning performance with native duet
Whip cracks and choo-choos crescendo in song
Spurring near aves to jolly along
The flightless young to pipe up and squawk
Easy like eagle or hoarse as the hawk!
Where cockatoos chase each other and chatter
Raindrops descend, and pitter-patter.

Alone stand I, amidst the multitude
Though my footsteps are guided
And my mind enlightened
My spirit lives alone
Friends far-gone
Shadows surround thee
Demons embody me
Evils, trouble my life
Spurring internal fright
Of the journey that awaits
Which discourages my attitude-
I hesitate to follow the path, amidst the multitude

You left me in the fist of a
cold night,
when the eggs were yet
unhatched;
a budding love denied.
O that the Sun stole
through the sheild of
dusk-shadows,
and noon stopped the
wind
from spurring me to
spasm,
nature would have
nutured me.
The Rose sprang at dawn,
swirling in pure ecstacy,
broken-heart entwined.

Down from the gray rainclouds
came pearly drums of thunder,
silver flutes filled with silver rain
bushels of purple flowers tumbled out
followed by jays and bumble bees-
Suddenly all things were washed
in buckets of emerald green..
Then a muddy-eyed devil arrived
spurring a dirty funnel cloud
whisking away butterfly paths
and robin egg dreams.

Sparks flicker from honey lips.
Shower me in purest fire.
Gravity lathes my ellipse
as we bask in our desire.
Shudders quake when passion grips
this yearning howls to inspire.
My mantle once longed to drift
in shame and disappointment.
Your voice charmed a brilliant shift
spurring my blazing accent.
Dancing comets praise our gift--
this hallowed ordained event.

wet wits worn
perforating pulpy pawn
pestered passion puked
cremating clipped cruise
hoisted hankering drooled
felon fate bruised
meagre metamorphoses moaned
spurring sassy sow
gullible gifts grown
dark diminuendo birthed
dribbling crescendos fitted
rusty rhythm rusticated
felon ambiguity flown
by blitzkrieg blown.

River Rules
They strain against the confines of her flow, seeking release,
aware of naught but the river’s instinctual calling.
The mock applause of clumsy bears slyly spurring them on
offering feigned assistance over the cascading roar.
Nature’s justification - “survival of the fittest”.

Futuristic climes
Beckoning to surpass
Spurring inventive minds
Since moon crater’s crevasse
Once known world denigrates
Human kind expiring
Lost to predicted fates
Stupendous vanquishing
fires onward challenges
Achievable data
Opens advantages
Kaleidoscope strata
Gravitational pull
Precludes events to plumb
Vessel christened ‘Virgin Wool’
Mankind decides outcome

The storm
Raving hear and rolling there
Grinning and half-smiling in rumblings
then it bursts out in violent assaults
Spurring the tails of the wind
Wild gestures of the tempest
Then the roar and blast of thunder
Followed by the sjambok of lightning
Triggering the torrents of moods
Gloomy cloudy pathos laden nimbus
Sadness and depression flow in galleys of time
And a man is left alone in the pathway of wonderment

Out on the heath hies a lady in white,
Riding a giant toad;
Who is that woman, luminescently bright,
Spurring her steed on the road?
West Country witch whom, legends recount,
Transformed her man with a spell:
Cuckolding lover, she made him her mount—
Unclad, she straddles him well.
Reptile croaking along on the path;
Lady, equestrienne witch,
Whacking his scaly skin with a lath,
Hopping each brook and broad ditch.

Verse
An intermittent sound
Alerted my inner ear
Spurring me into wakefulness
As my name formed crystal clear
Theresa, Theresa, Theresa.
Repeatedly in tune
Urging my reaction
One morning in early June
I awoke to hear chirruping
So insistent in bird refrain
Guarding it's perch dutifully
To arouse me was it's aim
My curtains threaded sunlight
Heralding life anew
Another day thus realised
As away my messenger flew.

spartian spirit spurring
sumptuous soles straying
salient strength scrunching
saucy strife stalking
spooky south squashing
sane stats straining
desirous dare dancing
damped desires dangling
drastic dances drooling
smothered sight smoothening
stunning spurs straightening
salty soaring sparring
oodles oomph oozing
dare awed spirit.

~Note~ A dare saw a spirit floating in the air, ascending... It goes there at intervals... Wishing its parents could do it.
