Broken-Heart Entwined

You left me in the fist of a
cold night,
when the eggs were yet
unhatched;
a budding love denied.

O that the Sun stole
through the sheild of
dusk-shadows,
and noon stopped the
wind
from spurring me to
spasm,
nature would have
nutured me.

The Rose sprang at dawn,
swirling in pure ecstacy,
broken-heart entwined.
