messy moppy morning rats nest
endless daily mirror defeat
blowdry straighten style spritz
and go lather rinse'n repeat

As you see we have no Febreze
Butt cover your smell if you please
Just spritz three or four times
Then release by design
and the next person won't say "Jeeze!"
That wicked old witch made me the Tin Man

I creak like a screechy hinge
Making my many friends cringe

Season’s heavenly treats,
Shaped with a cookie press.
Stars, trees, pinwheels, wreaths - with
Sugar sprinkles on top.
Sweet, crunchy after baked
Santa “cherry cheeks” smiles -
Sugar cookies and milk!

Fancy dancy unicorn friendly cowgirl boots
Stomping tromping riding along on shoots
With glitz and spritz and things that make me smile
Kicking and tricking up things on this country mile
I see you coming and I laugh at the things you do.
All feminine and girly, showing up every ballet shoe.
Used to be I got haircuts for two bits,
Along with a shave and hair tonic spritz,
From the barber bawdy jokes
Juicy gossip from town blokes!
Now for twelve bucks a clip is all I gits!

My crimson grapey friend
While I enjoyed my time with you
I'm sorry it must end
Cabernet oh Cabernet
Yes you I used to know
Sad but true, I’m done with you
I’ve moved on to Bordeaux
Bordeaux, Bordeaux oh my Bordeaux
You vineyard berry blitz
The summers here, and I declare
I choose a white wine spritz
Slender yellow petals
Fit perfectly into a fabric bud
All placed neatly on velvet stems
Searching for roots in a grass filler
No sun to reach, they bloom to a white wash ceiling
No scent to inhale, the artificial spritz wore off
Arranged picture perfect
Never to die but to stand behind museum glass
Fake beauty among the immortal
My fingers are blood red, but not bloody.
If adults were here they might be wondering; it looks like Kool-Aid.
Most probably from my handy burgundy hair dye touch up paint.
I spritz a bit of it on my part when I start to look like a red skunk.
Luckily I work with children who have not noticed that or my white streak.
Which makes me wonder why I even bother with it.

spritz of fragrance leaving behind an illusion of professionalism
receiving roses to give glad hand towards beauty
why is my allurement the focal point of my pitiful existence?

the varnish chipped away
the lids have found one another once again
awaken once more only to find that expression

To spritz upon the fish
There on a bed of rice
A tasty little dish
Presented to entice
