Used to be I got haircuts for two bits,

      Along with a shave and hair tonic spritz,

          From the barber bawdy jokes

               Juicy gossip from town blokes!

                    Now for twelve bucks a clip is all I gits!

Very clever Limerick Robert. The words seem to have a natural placement. Tis a shame everything is so expensive. That being said, the barber's got to make a living too Huh? Peace. :)

Oh yes! I can clearly remember the years when, as a child, I enjoyed 75 cent haircuts.....but, alas, those days are gone...I enjoyed your poem.

My grandfather uses the barber here in town, and her gets a senior cut for $10 plus tip here! I get my cut from a salon for $10 myself, and that includes a tip...so I don't go to the barber! If I remember correctly the barbers don't shave you anymore, I wish they did that because I would go to that! I really loved reading this tremendous write this evening! What a lovely piece, Great Work!!
