The last of snow had fallen
It's slushy underfoot
Cars in the dirt keep going
With radios on mute
The northwind close its tour
Plays final show today
The nearest dates I’m sure
Are booked by spring to stay.

White forts we freeze in
Snow men and women
Playground for sledding
We’ll stay out all day
Flakes bring excitement

Sometimes sticky
Slushy on streets
From white to gray

Fun to roll
Make us laugh

Blowing
Fluffy

Snowy, slushy mess,
driving now a test,
snowy, slushy mess,
heart is in my chest,
snowy, slushy mess,
please be a quick guest,
snowy, slushy mess,
all snow would be best,
snowy, slushy mess,
sky, give it a rest!

‘cause this stuff is terrible....

Rain -Acrostrain
Rain, oh, l will put up with a little, so what?
A heavenly rainbow I will then get to see,
I have to walk the slushy, muddy miles, so what?
Not otherwise a flower-laden bough I see!

Flurries promised, snow?
Wet froozen slushy
Add a sleigh or two
Winter fun, snow day
Gloves, Hat and scarf, warm

Hot chocolate
Melted goodness
Tasty sweet treat
Warm my body

From the in
To the out
Frostbite go

Slushy snow has spread
It happened as i slept
In the morn it rained
Turning the snow slush
To walk was easy
No ice anywhere
As i was walking
Wetness was felt
It spread in my boots
making my feet wet
It was time to shop
For
 new winter boots
I bought them on sale
Wore them the same day
My feet nice and warm
My feet was happy...

Winter Storm
Winter Storm raging on
Icicles sparkling in the sunlight
Nip of whiskey to stay warm
Tightly bundled is the norm
Every mile in winter is like two
Roads slushy, drivers with no clue

Short days and dark chilly nights
The valley is covered with snow
Overcast skies, flurries again tonight
Rivers frozen, bitter cold
More snow is on its way...

A Summertime Poem
IN THE SUMMER IT WOULD BE NICE
TO BE IN A COOL MILD JACUZZI.
WITH A NICE SLUSHY MOSCOTO.
OR BE IN THE SHADE AT THE
PARK,HAVING A NICE
PICNIC,DRINKING SODA PLAYING
VOLLEYBALL.
OR AT THE BEACH WITH CHAIR`S
AND UMBRELLAS,AND A ICE CHEST
WITH,DRANK,DRANK,DRANK,AND
DRINK,DRINK,WAITING FOR THE
SUN TO SET.
THIS IS MY IDEA OF A SUMMER DAY.
A SUMMERTIME POEM....

Not In Stride
The snow wasn’t much
But the piles are high
And the corners are slushy and wet.
In the clean-up, the plows
Made it hard to get by
And that makes many people upset.

Still, it could have been worse;
Life is close to the norm
Yet there’ll always be those who complain
And I’m certain the next time
We’re hit with a storm
They’ll pipe up with their whining refrain....

Lockdown: Soap Balls
Rolled slushy snow balls an old hearty boy.
Boy, he played with his gal, a scene so coy;
Never ask me if it's me
Or that sporty gal is she;
In laundry, we blow now soap balls, bolshoi.

Bolshoi, in Russian, means ‘big’, ‘large’
Syllable count: 10/10/7/7/10

Premium Member Another Dark Day
Another dark day, and it drizzles
The most monotonius tune
All I have endured now fizzles
As soon as I’m leaving the room
Damp air makes a joke of my plan
Slushy pavement tell stories untold
In favour of wintery man
Who sneers from inside of my soul
Spring speaks sotto voce in dark day
Though I’m not excited with breeze
With mud and the damp, I will play
Spring’s little game that I seize.

Premium Member Halloween Newsflash --- Say-Hey
Hearken, hear ye, what we say
   O'er runways and roadways
      Swirling snowflakes
         are falling today
   Sidewalks, slushy and slick
      need new navigation
         in a festive way

   So, Say-Hey and Yay
      All you trick-or-treaters
   It's time to break out
      Your Halloween sleighs!

Premium Member Forecast For Rain
We're supposed to get rain,
So where did it go.
Instead of the rain,
We've got big flakes of snow.

Oh it's post card pretty;
Okay here's the thing,
We're supposed to have rain,
Because now it's Spring.

It's slippery and slushy,
And splatters and splats,
As cars rushing by,
Slide this way and that.

The flakes are now smaller,
And blowing sideways.
So where is the rain,
They said we'd have today?...
