A Woman's Curvature
Those curves speak
Down to the spine
Is like mountain peak
Undisturbed sloping pine
In eagle eye view it's good
A colorful landscape for free
A stunning winding road
An adorable woman I see....

You don't have it so
bad,
You with all the
twilight in your
eyes.
Dont worry, I'm an
angel under your
garments,
A scientist sloping
down shoulders.
When you wake you
make tired bird
songs,
While I hide in the
meadow of your
dreams....

Moment
Gentle tempest blows

Lapping waves crest

Sand flows from the sloping shore

Pray thee content in thine slumber

Protest not morning-stars resolute gaze

See now tempest sated

Rest now your labors complete.

Lover's Embrace
I see the gently sloping curve of your hip,
your skin velvety,
your face peaceful, relaxed.
Those verdant eyes, hidden.
Rhythmic breathing tells me of your slumber.
I slide into the bed next to you
and you turn into my arms
and we lie in a lover's embrace...

Skiing
SKIING

Our skis sing softly all along
The snowy trail, and in among
The tall straight pines where we belong:
The silence echoes to our song.

Almost silent, the hill is fast;
Blows a kiss as we whisper past.
Ahead - the sloping whiteness vast.
O Never end! And always last....

Premium Member The Somber Sun Sinks Silently
The somber sun sinks so silently in the still soul of the serene sea
On sands of sloping sodden shore shining shells slide, I stand to see
Clumped colors of clouds the curls of wave crests crave to capture
When in wandering wind they would waft, I would waltz with water.

Hunting Trip
We went walking
among the trees
in the sloping woods
where the chill wind
lost its way.

A search for fallen walnuts.

We shared one mitten,
and finger-danced
in that hiding place.

Other hunters
asked us
if we had found anything?”

Our eyes were secretly bright,
as we answered,
“Yes."...

Gobbledygook
Such swings the Muses' wail
to him that laxly trail
and her too, prone to frail
when we are out of jail
with truly turgid tongues
singing sourly sweet songs.

A sense and some music
comedy and tragic
of a form in a flow
dangling on minds as snow
on a smooth sloping roof
it's just gobbledygook....

Tangerine Morning
Frost carpets the fields
sloping to a crinkled sea.
The air,
cotton crisp
as spring leaps in.

Satin crows
descend from a silver sky.
Squabbling, they graze
on chilled dewdrops.

The sunrise,
a red ribbon glow
warms tall tree trunks
basking in gliding sunlight.

A flame horizon
burns a candy stripe sky
on a tangerine morning....

Premium Member River Deep
inspired by Ricks contest theme

Winter melts and seeps deep below,
permeates cathedrals with snow,then
in spate, nature's blood in flood .
A babbling burn in feathered ferns
to riverine unseen,a stream of
freshwater clean.
In rivers soil silts against sloping banks
the current slows into eddys,
where fat chubb doze,
deep waters flow ,below...

The Undarkened Room
Light breaches
My drawn heart
Where darkness once enveloped
Now heavy violet drapes sit sloping
Precariously

Light touches
The outermost corners
Where dust once lay prevalent
Now sifting
Ever impermanently

Change teases
The long-since dormant flame
That now just sits
Remnants of vitality are spitting
Hungrily.

River Mother
Springing from submerged breasts, engorged,
mountainous mother-stream gushes
pristinely clear primeval milk
into hungry mouths - bird, beast, human;
ancient as embryonic earth,
she nurses sloping hills, nurtures dawning valleys,
carving cradled nests in fecund soil,
setting the stage for life's grand panoply.

Merrily, my soda hopped, skipped
…rolled merrily along,
jumping hurdles of falling leaves,
sloping t’wards steep driveway.

The bottle, fizzing, shaken up -
merrily, as I watched
it’s descent, hoping it would stop,
not hop the boundary.

My neighbor, not the sort to laugh.
Congregation of leaves
held it back, so no disaster.
Merrily I retrieved....

Heels
she is no longer young
her calves strain
to be shapely in tall stilettos

she carries herself carefully
hips tilted
above an always sloping floor

above the pumps
a life mostly in step
with yesterday

yet something of her style
her tilt at times-windmills
has a fine aplomb

on balance
a woman to admire
for her unsteady grace

her firm resolve...

Premium Member A Tarot of Amulets
Mediums of Winter parse
translucent runes on the tines
of sloping firs basking like mallards
in March's brusk sunshine.
Arctic oracles echo on the lake's hard sapphire
with pearl crests punctuating
Spring's arrival while cat tails exclaim
nascent umber banks. As teals float
in a tarot of amulets tanagers preen,
imbuing remnant frost with scarlet omens....

Falling
I will remember
 the leaping seas,
 the sloping smile
 of the shore.

As emerging naked,
 the moon lit
 your lines and curves,
 moved, the stone
 of my heart
 cracked

I felt a fear
 that my pages
 were to be rewritten,
 I grasped my breast,
 and the wind charged
 as the sky fell

I will forever remember
 the crack and fall,
 until my eternal kiss...
