Premium Member Twenty Twenty
He skated along
road little used,
except by butterflies -
he chased.
On his scooter, he raced.
Suddenly halting,
“Aww…he flied away!”...

Phonin
I have seen them all and embarked on none,

I've waded at the mall and skated in the mud,

there is some beast that I may call-
he will answer when I can be understood....

Premium Member Holding On To a Jet Stream
I skated holding onto the tail of a jet stream today.
We went to Dubai, Zimbabwe Omaha and Bombay.
I got back before lunch before my mother could say
Where have you been child? In the yard you must stay!...

Premium Member I Am Alone In This Nonsense
I said good-bye to my do-or-die.
My pigsty attached to my left eye.
Are you shy? Asked my guy Nigh.
Why should I try? I asked with a sigh.

You make little sense said my cousin Cy.
Hi I yelled as I skated past this spy.
Did you want pie? Math asked so sly.
You mean pi? I returned, flying high....

The Rocket
They called him The Rocket because he skated fast
and struck with lightening speed
the puck flew into the goal
past the glove
and The Rocket did a dance...

The Rocket was loved by many fans
his grandma's thought him divine -
as he made his way up and down the rink
skating, playing, and being a kid....

Premium Member One Last Kiss
She twirled and danced, for one last kiss
Something she knew she could not miss
Snowflakes fell where her skate blades glided
Certainly nothing would be one-sided
She twirled, twirled, for one last kiss in the night
As she skated on a path of reflecting moonlight
Where he took her hand, into his arms she fell
One last kiss, whispers of love she could now tell

Premium Member Idea Sixty Two
Idea sixty-two flew by me on her way to the meadow.
I put my right hand out and she slapped it as she giggled past.
Okay, that’s fine, I told myself. I will get the next one.
I am up to a hundred and sixteen ideas.
Do not ask me how I know, I think my muse keeps track.
This one put on her rollers and skated over my feet as she left.
I feel like I have a shot at capturing the next one.
My muse laughs....

Limerick crochetés: Once Japanese couple from USA

Once Japanese couple from USA
Skated to stardom near Tokyo Bay
Japanese throbbed waived flag
To recall champions snag
America gives no Trump cards away

Not even smiles nor acknowledgement
Watching one tier below Kim Jong-un
Sister looks down on Pence
Even Quest can’t fix fence
Waiting for fireworks after Pyeongchang

Abc of Love
Admired you, oh yes from afar

Breathless, every time I saw you

Captured, no doubt, my heart was no contest for your pursuit

One look, that was all you gave and all I needed

Frosted icing, forming upon the thin ice I skated on

Lessons in love, given and taught

Obstacles, please they we're but toys you taunted me with

Victorious, no doubt, the trophy was mine to win

Ending, no never ending my dear!...

Premium Member As Autumn's Breeze
Autumn's breeze picked up the delicate snow flakes
She tossed them until they turned to ice crystals
She recently put away her autumn colors
Now stirred Jack Frost into a frenzy
So upset he asked North wind to blow
in with a blizzard
North wind obliged and skated in with
a smooth glide
Showing Autumn breeze that her strength
was waning
She twirled away giving North wind
and Jack Frost a cold shoulder.

The Tourist Families
Watched the tourist families
As they strolled and shopped and sipped.
Without their masks, you might have thought
That Covid had been whipped.

They skated on the ice and bought
Hot chocolate and raclettes.
If germs were floating in the air
They didn’t feel their threats.

Yet all of my anxiety
Of Omicron infection,
Despite my jabs and distancing
And masks for my protection

Was not apparent, outwardly,
On anyone I saw.
I wish, like them, I could command
My worry to withdraw....
