Idea Sixty Two

Idea sixty-two flew by me on her way to the meadow.
I put my right hand out and she slapped it as she giggled past.
Okay, that’s fine, I told myself. I will get the next one.
I am up to a hundred and sixteen ideas.
Do not ask me how I know, I think my muse keeps track.
This one put on her rollers and skated over my feet as she left.
I feel like I have a shot at capturing the next one.
My muse laughs.

You and this write are so very creative. It can be hard to catch them. They run away toooooo fast. Does your muse ever sleep??? Thanks for the laugh. I needed it. Have a great/blessed day..........................

I guess ideas are like buses in a crowded city. Eventually you'll catch one! (But whatchgonnadowithabus?!) Smiles, Gershon

Hi! Caren, this was a fun write. I liked the second line. "She puts her right hand out and she slapped it and giggled." Blessings ~ Debra

This is a delightful poem, Caren. I can't tell you how many ideas pass me by. Sometimes I just wave and smile!

If you keep your phone with you, you can capture them, or, if small enough, trap them on the table beneath the glass... They are resilient, so be careful when lifting it back up, or you will set them free again...
