L-5 and S-1—

Such unwanted, nasty things.

He Does Not Stop

I write blank verse (justly)
Enjoying challenges (unjustly)

To Be In State of Shock

What had happened around the clock,
Caused us to be in a state of shock;
Never forget,
And upset;
Make fun of many while they mock.

As one freshly released from Bedlam
He asked her, intending no harm
"Can I kiss you madam"?
As if he were her Adam
Her fist fell on his cheek ‘dum’ ‘dum’!

Winter Shock

fog covers the bier
coffin on moaning shoulder
whitish grey the tears
leaves in icicles dripping
cold shrouded abysmal love

SHOCK

Switched from hot to cold,-
my blood felt iced and my body
lie down in bed as if I was dead.

Media Block Caused Shock

Media Block Caused Shock

We are still in a state of shock;
School district media did block;
Problems causing;
Around bossing;
Of happenings start taking stock.

A Butcher's Shock

There was an old lady in York,
who danced with a butcher from Cork,
he stayed overnight -
she gave him a fright:
insatiable passion for 'pork'...

Another State of Shock

We are in all another state of shock;
The school district  media did block;
Problems causing,

Shock and Awe

I watched a surprise win the other night
in states which had the brightest blue in sight,
so while the returns came in
Democrats were in chagrin...
their Hillary called to concede the fight.

Shell Shock

She held a seashell to her ear
But heard no soothing sea,
Just choking gasps of life caught in
An ocean of debris.

Donald Trump never took to the law. For a president, this is a flaw. But the law might take Trump. He would land on his rump. How is that for some cool shock and awe?

Explorer's Shock

An opening sarcophagus in a pharoah's tomb,
   Started emanating light into the room,
 The mummy screamed, "I'll put a curse on you,

    One should never presume to exhume."

A loud noise jars my senses
Rips me away from creative thoughts
And steals my inner serenity.
Is it a passing truck back-firing?
Or a teenagers glass-pack shouting
"Notice me, you fool,
I am
Macho man!"

the war was well

on its way
mottled and coddled
 battled  and  bottled

Culture Shock

Building a bridge
between two cultures,
is like swimming against the tide.

the up and down current,
often leads to a knock down.

to bridge the gap between two worlds,
is an encounter not so pleasant.

the culture shock,
quite difficult to encapsulate.
