Deadly predator beneath the waters
mouths in carriage of sharp saws
swift and strong, crazy for blood.
I haven't seen you in quite awhile
Bit I see you are still scaring the
shark's away
By dipping your toes into the sea

There once was a gambler named Mark
At cards he was somewhat a shark

I effortlessly propel through the water
beating my flukes

Great White Sharks are a Gold Coast wonder
Though crocodiles may steal their thunder
But all surfers know
It is time to go
When kangaroos line up Down Under
Jaws of a shark, a ferocious bite,

My teddy bear holds me through the night,
In my garden, orchids and daffodils fill with light.
Cat’s shots were scheduled at noon today

There are the days
When everything seems fine,
But on the calm water
There is a shark fin.
Just like you,
Smiling at me,
It could possibly mean
That am dramatically wrong.

Has three thousand jagged teeth to kill prey
Smells blood in the water three thousand miles away
Great white’s keen smell
Sniffs human as well
This salty sweet fragrance can brighten his day
Stealthy, deadly hunter
Swiftly moves beneath waves
Searching for its next meal
Swimmers become its prey
Surfers are attacked too
Sharp teeth cut like razor
So beware of those Jaws!!
She really wanted that selfie
Her relatives said
But now of course
The silly girl was dead
You do not get a selfie in a shark’s mouth said Mr Uncooth
The last thing you see is his giant tooth
The great white is hiding low in the bowels of the ocean
Gloating at his ability to smell blood for a mile
Not wanting to brag, but loving his keen nose
Giving him a preview of what he might be eating
Slow sways, it meanders ~
Sandy spotted mammoth
Sieving the shallow sea…
Still that dorsal fin fear!
Some jaws don’t bite or bark
Such is deep’s largest fish…
Sized gape, my whale shark awe ~

There's a shark lurking in the soup they say
With sharp teeth ready to strike any day
Our pens remain our best weapons
No matter what the shark threatens
We will just write more to send him away
