Am no athiest but...
truth be told, it is,
infact,
TORMENTING...
how shallow religion,
can, may or is,
sometimes...
Form:
for us all she stands
flag presented to trembling hands…
shallow graves in foreign lands

Restive meadows, silent stones, shallow graves
~ in words their meanings emerge
They line up on the shallow river,
to give Way.......

Misunderstanding
between
The deep and shallow
rivers
Are resolved when two
murmur
Less words and stop
meeting at sea
Heart dwells in fire,
A rain of words approaches it,
Shallowness ignites despair,
The wind of shadows
Blows away the ashes.
Springtime forgotten
Clouds release winter memories
While gale force winds
Uproot sunshine desires
Like shallow rooted trees
Shallow, I am not, Silence the very thought!
I appreciate truly, A woman’s inner beauty
That’s why I dissect them in my basement
on shores of despair
I wallow in the shallow
of my lowest tides
yet I rise - oceanic -
when my spirit floods with joy
Within my view.
"I view one thing to connect within my own heart and mind, to avoid all the shallow views of others around me."-Ds-
Without a shallow human vice
What will we do in paradise
With no one there to call our own
For all our friends, to hell have flown
Woods in deep mist
shallow brook of shimmering slik
unweaves over rocks.
Cooling breeze -- rustling leaves
wind chimes in the nght
solitude and celestial light
reflections of most recent strife
I bury in sand with a shell marker
leave it there in shallow, salty water
Deep end diving; shallow end Fear.
Barbecue host and nobody near.
Crystal, shimmering; fish to eat. . .
Lounge chair Dolphin wets her feet.
Poetry is a body of water,
With the title being its' surface;
The context deep or shallow.
It's as far in the water,
One chooses to go...
Evil thoughts dawn off shallow tides
Rise unaware upon a conscious mind
Hapless when amid the quickened sand
One last breathe of compunctious man
Cautiously I wade
Through shallow waters at dawn
Minnows tickle me
My fishing hole waits for me
catfish jump with the sunrise
bamboo bowing meets
shadow displacing shallow
musky snaps the line

Safely home, just arrived
shallow breathing
profound sighs
Memory but
a stoplight away
gunshots crying
~ innocence slain
Detached from the heart
Blinded by fear, led by greed
Shallow minds lay waste
Tainting words with foul actions
Careless of those who mean them
a stone’s throw rocks rest
ships can’t sail shallow water…
an eye lights the way

Shallow finger bowl
shines blue in the kitchen sun
holding sacred gifts.
Once thought of as weeds, and pulled.
Now, floating flowers, treasured.
Many of them are
rather shallow and almost silly,
and also extremely
poisonous like many species of lily
(at least those in my beloved country)
in the shallow waters
of the River Nile
blooms the
sweet gift of
the Moses child
who navigates
with staff and rod
into Pharaoh's heart
Slowly one rain drop
Slips from the green leaf onto
Creek's shallow blue pool
Motion circles leave
Their imprint on the surface
Forever lives in ice
