the beach is public
but the beach house is private
when the sea erodes,
which is saved; you can't save both
saving houses erodes the beach
There's a dachshund from Key Biscay
saving ice cubes for a sweltery day
He buries them deep
hoping they'll keep
and wonders how they get away
Each seventh day we take part
consuming the light
of life, the days saving bread
which is His body
with His given blood
which sets us
free!
Woke up to still sound of rain drops
Trickling over my coin jar
My empty coin jar
