Quarantine
There's nothing to do on lockdown
Can't even go outside to see the sun
Staring at the walls
Waiting on the government call
Hoping that our town doesn't get rundown...

Mirror of Secrets
His glass-stained eyes saw things he knew
That framed a past when years withdrew
From indiscretions of a town---
Mirrored in youth’s flashes, rundown
By secrets kept in a house where he loved and grew.

Premium Member Bunnyville Christmas Trees
What kind of Christmas trees do you have in Bunnyville?
I asked, wondering, for I was not a native or anything.
celery and radish trees, but most prefer carrot, said Phil.
And if a fox or an owl comes, the trees begin to ring.

To warn you that they are stealing your food? I asked.
Not that as much as to let us know we might be eaten too.
By an owl or a fox? Yes, and they might be raccoons, masked.
She gave me a rundown of the town and a lollipop too,...

A Light In the Darkness
As you live in a fairy tale
I fight for your name
In the dark world of immorality
You are an unwanted light shimmering in
Between the cracks
Of the boards
On the windows
In the rundown shack we call society
Do you not realize what they think of you?
Your magnificence disturbs the comfortable darkness of the room
You realize what you are
Too good for this world
Too good to admit this
So sleep in your fairytale
I’ll fight for your light
Throughout the night...
