Mirror of Secrets

His glass-stained eyes saw things he knew
That framed a past when years withdrew
From indiscretions of a town---
Mirrored in youth’s flashes, rundown
By secrets kept in a house where he loved and grew.

"That framed a past when years withdrew" Brilliant!!! And the dilemma then becomes how to keep them from "framing" the future. Well done.
