Bunny Dreams
Bunny dreams up and down and all around
In technicolor, reds and pinks, no tans or brown.
Carrots, lettuce and radishes are dive bombing him.
He is excited to see it, loving his life, dreaming along on a whim....

Radishes Or Fudge
Wish I was handsome stead of a physical stud
With a body to die for, I'll let you guys be the judge
Good looks have advantages
But coz I eat many radishes
My complexion's glowing red so I'm switching to fudge...

Always More To Be Said
When all's said and done, there's more to be done and said
Like how's our dear Mary, hope her fungus hasn't spread
And what about poor Thelma
With her deviated antenna
And poor Nikita, fresh radishes growing on her head...

Radishes and Fudge
Wish I was strikingly handsome, instead of a physical stud
With a body to die for, I'll let all you guys be the judge
Good looks have advantages
But because I eat many radishes
My complexion glows red so I must eat a lot of fudge... huh?...

Where Are We Dining
cucumber sandwiches
lettuce on the half leaf
rosy red radishes fresh from the ground!
Sounds scrumptious, says Peter.
Where are we dining?
His sisters giggle.
“Mr. McGregor’s Garden.
Peter rolls his eyes.
He has been fooled by Flopsy, Mopsy and Cottontail before....

Chef On the Go
My women's a rump-roast
Potatoes her thighs
Ripe reddened carrots
for thinly sliced eyes
Onions for folly
that lobes ring on high
Radishes hatched up
for lovers to eye
Thin flowing gravy
for sexual roll
Brown oily colors
as taken for soul
Thoughts for a woman
as something to know
When crawling to get one
as Chef on the go...

You don’t pick radishes.
You pull radishes, bent over
Workin’ backwards, ten hours.
Rubber band ‘em by the dozen
Bushel full, boss pays eight bits.
Twenty bushel good day.
Band 99 cents at the Kroger.
Make it to America, land
Of opportunity. Walk for
Your children, pull for your
Grandchildren.

Poor Bunny Has the Flu
I have heard that bunny has the flu, I said.
Shall we send her a card? Flowers? Take soup?
She is in her element, was the reply.
Her husband is waiting on her hand and foot.
Taking her fresh radishes, carrots and lettuce.
She is the queen of her bedroom.
Everyone is doting on her and loving her.
The flu was the best thing that has ever happened to her....

Block Party
Dance, Ladies, dance!—
By the light of lanterns.
Let your red skirts swirl
Like the tops of carousels—
Candy-apple red.
Dance, Children, dance!
With your glowing adornments—
Rainbow blue and green—
Firefly green.
The scent of gardenias
Wafts from urban gardens—
Gardenias and radishes.
The night air breathes magic;
The block has been transformed....

Garden Adventures
Grazing in a garden two little rabbits go
about to compete against each other
Radishes, and lettuce, and carrots...which to choose
Dare not to make too much of a fuss, because they know the fox is around
Eyes glued to the beauty of the fox, and the danger as well
neither of them make a move, Ready to make a step, and select their choice,
as they see the fox leave...

I do not know?
Radishes, Rondeaux, Renaissance and Rose
Radishes, rondeaux, Renaissance and rose.
Rumpelstiltskin’s rear view is clouding my nose.
Furthermore, he’s hoarding the beautiful hose.
And I do not care for the color he’s chose.
Robust Rubenesque warrior woman lady queen,
I need to sneeze, and do not want to be mean.
Radishes, rondeaux, renaissance and rose.
Can you please stop stretching out my well bought clothes?...

Mother Gaia
Mother Gaia, how beautifully you tend your garden of souls.
Uplifted and refreshed by your green plants and your earthiness.
I lie down in your soil and breathe in your fragrance for hours.
Other gardeners understand.
We lie in our beds, watching your magic arise from the ground.
Tiny green sprouts of marigolds, carrots, corn, peas, and radishes.
How excited and confident you help us to feel.
Mother Gaia, how beautifully you tend your garden of souls!...

Monticello
Hearken back unto a time
when the willow weeps o’er the riverside
where radishes and cabbage grow in a line
nearby rabbits hop away and hide
The women whisper amongst themselves
and bid you call upon the master
over the hill upon which sits a well
you will hear a chorus of sweet laughter
The mountain you sit upon is your castle
and from it sprang the seeds of a new nation.
the wind brushes you against a thistle
what do you feel stirring inside? It is creation....

Tiger Lily Airplane Food If You Please
Tiger Lily airplane food if you please, grandma, if you please.
He is four and enthusiastic. Words happy as a summer breeze.
He leaves to chase butterflies, then I see him trying to catch bumblebees.
Tiger Lily airplane food is ready, I call out to him. It is peas!
Not yet, he tells me. I have found a little green blue toad to tease.
I let him play a bit longer, as I garden on my ancient knees.
Collecting radishes, beets, and green beans in threes,
Which I will of course winter freeze....
