Listen to poem:
Goliath, a boastful huge giant,

And David, a shepherd and pliant,

So he took a stone,

And crushed his head bone,

Then Israel roared like a lion....

Polish Up Your Glasses
POLISH UP YOUR GLASSES

World for a moment seems more pliant,

End of the grease-fog night,

Further to see, shoulders of giant,

Suddenly life seems bright....

Woolen Heirloom
A knitted quilt lays on my bed's divan
Needled by Grandma, generations ago
Its wool fiber pliant and wide enough
To keep the family cuddled in bonfire eves
Sheltering me now, her heirloom's gift.

A Clay Heart
My heart is made of clay left in the cold,

Knead me, please.

Show me how to pump blood again.

Remind me of my days under the earth,

Held pliant and warm.

Make me something better with your gentle shaping fingers,

And leave your mark....

Love Must Be So Pliant
Love must be so pliant ,
like a blade of grass,

Bowing to the wind,
till the storm has passed.

Love is enigmatic
Like the sphinx’s smile.

Waiting for an answer,
Nothing is on file.

Love is often near us
Yet we do not see.

Sometimes where we are
Is just the place to be...

Ecstasy and Pain
Wilted in crushed embrace; to tired to scream.
Candle tongue scorches pliant skin.

Chromatic vision, through incense mist
catches blurring reality.

Caged in breathless anticipation
of known agenda; resignation sighs.

Twisted bracelets wrap twisted thoughts
in fabulists truths and hesitation snaps
in pain fueled ecstasy....

Limestone Bluffs
The stones could be prehistoric fertility figures,
they persist, they redefine the seen.
Water-pliant, submissive,
they are turned on the wind’s millwheels.

Some remind me of farm girls
broad buttocks, love handles,
rolling hips. Not like the bony walkers
that climb up here.

I sit leaning against an ample mound -
feel the womanish stone
shaping its image around me....

Willow
Loose green tendrils hanging low
kiss the soft green earth, the bough
kneels with the wind as if in prayer,
a penitent so humble, so subservient.
A pliant bow that's unreleased,
and like to spring to heaven with a swish,
a stately, monumental king
of meadow and a murmuring stream,
in haze concealed, a misty dream,
a graceful monolith 'twould seem,
cloaked in the blue-grey hush....

The Rocks At Edale
Because the stones
are wind submissive, water pliant;
turned on wheels of air,
they remind me of village girls
broad buttocks, love handles,
rolling hips. Not like the bony walkers
that climb up here.

Their nakedness is fashioned
by a grinding tenderness.
I sample that roundness,
let my warmth kiss the curves.
Sit next to a pretty one,
eat a ham sandwich,
think fondly of the plump barmaid
in the valley below....

Willow 1
Loose green tendrils hanging low,
kiss the soft green earth, the bough
kneels with the wind
as if in prayer, a penitent so
humble and predictable, and
just the same as others of its kind;
a pliant bow

that's unreleased, yet like to spring
to heaven with a wish,
a stately, monumental king
of meadow and a murmuring stream,
in haze conceal'd, a misty dream,
a graceful monolith 'twould seem,
cloaked in a blue-grey hush....

Slowly Drip Yourself Upon Me
Slowly drip yourself upon me
Each drop of tears, sweat and soul
Swallowed by my embrace
However hard, however hot
And thirsty for more
Slowly drip yourself upon me
Coat my pliant grip
The grist that leads you towards me
With pure, titillating glue
That adheres my whims
To your wants
Slowly drip yourself upon me
I'm in need of your wretched drenching
Your melange
Spiked with bitter pleasure
And I'm loving every drop.

Winter World
Frosted pines accosted Crystal flakes Roaming in the gloaming Melancholy valley White and wan Pathos rules the sick snows Dull unpredictable Winter breeze Whistles through the thistles Valiant hills and pliant Willows dance Spilling sadness chilling Jack Frost spews cold attack Life asleep Hoar is forevermore 14th August, 2017

Dog
I gave you power and let you feast on my weakness,
couldn’t stand my ground, so i let in your sickness.
I let your fangs sink into my neck,
stroke my hair, and say, “What a good pet.”
Let you know as i knelt at your feet
that you could do anything you desired to me.
And I’d still be pliant, and ready, and eager,
you’d point the gun and I’d beg for the trigger.
Sit still like a statue and take the assault,
I let you take part of me, more of me, all....

Gas Is a Powerful Thing
(Disclaimer: this is what happens when I am bored at work on a Saturday)

Gas is a powerful thing
It can certainly clear a room
Yes gas is a powerful thing
It can make the strongest swoon

Gas is a powerful thing
It is most deadly when its silent
Yes gas is a powerful thing
It can even be quite pliant

 gas is a powerful thing
Its even flamable I suppose
Yes gas is a powerful thing
If you light it it just might explode

Yes gas is a powerful thing...
