Pirate Ship
The pirate ship sailed the high seas
Looking for other ships to seize
Taking jewelry, mainly gold
Those pirates were bold
Until they robbed a ship fill with disease...

Lies a petrified pirate ship
She froze in place during a fierce battle

If I was a pirate ship my bulkhead would be a wolf’s head
With yellow eyes that rolled around scaring my enemies all red
They would begin screaming when my ship came over the rise
Knowing at the end of the day they would all be food for the flies....

On the pirate ship lollipop
all of your sugar I’m licking.
So addicted I just can’t stop,
at baseline my lips are sticking.
A smile and bubblegum tricking,
cute with emotional damage.
The bulletin isn’t clicking,
set a fire enjoy the carnage....

There once was a pirate from Antilles
That chased all the young beautiful fillies
To all a deception vow
Carving of them on ships bow
Lies brought doom, now lies in field of lilies

Premium Member Ethereal Rainbow Sky
Oh beautiful ethereal rainbow sky with a crescent moon and magical mist
Heaven’s openings sharing a galaxy’s imagination with lady of the lake
Peter Pan’s Never-Never-land floating across the horizon in a pirate ship
Hidden in the fog of a kaleidoscopic cloud, giving my imagination a sigh
This is the place where wishes are granted, and dreams are made....

Our Fantasies
Once upon a time…..
So all the stories say,
There lived a prince,
Or maybe a princess,
And a hero who saved the day.

We read the stories,
And tell the tales,
Of giants and dragons,
And treasure to behold,
Of witch’s spells and pirate ship sails.

They take us away,
From this world in which we live,
From work and school,
And drudgery days,
So, our fantasies please forgive....

Premium Member Knotty Totty Rottsy Day
Crone arrived masked as crescent moon.
We knew her by her star cape and her attitude.
I was wearing a warring pirate ship as a skirt.
The day was ripe for all kinds of shenanigans.

A trumpeter arrived to announce the next eclipse.
It’s one of those knottsy-tottsy-rottsy days.
I put on my star gazing hat, and tried to look average.
Difficult for someone as creative as me....

Magic Sneakers
When I was very young a little boy of five,
I had a pair of sneakers that made me feel alive.
They were black with white soles,
discolored and had several holes.
They took me wherever I wanted to go,
in outer space, a pirate ship or a mountain covered in snow.
I did not have much in those day but I would not know,
because my magic sneakers always had me on the go.

Premium Member Captain Steered Us To the Keys
Doctor with his lanky pirate legs
Aptly put together Gimpy’s pegs.
On the Seven Seas
Said it was a breeze
We know little about Captain Meggs

Please do not feed me your rotten eggs
Young captured cabin boy often begs
Captain liked his pleas.
Steered us to the Keys.
To secret treasure and hidden kegs!

Black Rose
Black Rose was her name,
a pirate ship of great fame,
she sailed the Cretan seas,
of turquoise blue, so un-tame,
crashing through the high waves,
sea air in our hair,
salt and rum on our tongue
singing songs old & young,
hell, it was great fun!
our backs heated by the sun
on the ropey rigging we hung,
with sword and pistol gun,
deep sea swim,
till the sunset dims,
a pirates life for us, it's our hymn!...

Premium Member Ambitious Treasure Seekers
Ambitious treasure seekers on a pirate ship
They bob up and down as the waves give a dip.
We see them coming, and we give a loud shout.
Giving them a hooray and hoorah from our homes no doubt.

We know they have money in the forms of silver and gold.
They came to the coast to gamble – both young and old.
We open our blackjack stations and light our casino sign.
If there is any real big spender, I hope she comes to mine....

Premium Member The Pirate Who Stole My Boat
On the seas of turquoise green
A pirate ship approached
And stole my boat
All cargo was aboard

I was saddened at the loss that day
For the ship was a fine seaworthy vessel
I hope they take good care
Of both vessel and my wife

I shall miss them both
They been sailed many a year
Thank god I have insurance
For the vessel I held so dear

Thank-you

Note: No boats or wives where actually stolen, kidnapped or harmed in the making of this poem!!...

Premium Member Living With Pirate Queen Lore
Pirate Queen was intelligent and insightful.
Bravery and wittiness purely delightful.

She travelled the seven seas with daring.
Tales of her were fun for easy sharing.

Where she got her wonder lust was anyone’s guess.
Her fantastic stories were truly our best….

Tamed gargoyles and dragons, she did and well.
A pirate ship – her favorite place to dwell.

We claimed her as our distant cousin, so people would fawn.
We did not want their jealousy if we told them she was Mom....
