Ben Dover Pre-Dick-A-Mint

Penelope could touch her toes
And quickly would assume that pose
But everyone knows
It isn't her toes
That beckons to so many beaux!

Focused Penelope

Penelope had a defiant high chest
Was it real? Many wanted to test.
She ignored men.
Outstudied them.

Stripe of a Different Color

there once was a skunk named Pepé Le Pew
when he came near, well, everyone knew
	Penelope, his chérie
	to her, he was smelly
odorous advances met pooh pooh!

Pixie Petula Penelope

playful prancing pixie Petula Penelope
prancing in a parade beside Patty and me
preventing platitudes from distracting playboys three
privately pestering both Patty and me

To the Rescue

Happy to see my friend, Penelope
  'Neath alabaster wedding canopy
    But the horrid-looking groom

Poor Peter's Penelope

Poor Peter got married without a dime
For cash for stocks for bonds he had no time
    Now what kind of wife
    Would live such a life
  Penelope writes poetry 'fool-time'

Penelope Tree

Teenage acne scarring
put an end
to your sojourn
your eyes as beautiful as dawn
glacial cheekbones
the shifting sands
of frozen time relieved
to the demure of wisdom
now realised

Penelope Bower

Here lies Penelope Bower
Born by blood and water – like us all.
Then she died that way too – from a fall
while taking a bloody shower.

Belonging

do you think i belong here?
so close to you, so near
oh Penelope did you hear?
she wants me right there..

but I am lost in deep mess
in a pit, a fissure, an Abyss
oh canopy of tall trees?
i just want to be in bliss

Penelope Lee

Penelope Lee was steampunk driven with purple hair.
Some people did not understand, they stood with a weirdo’s stare.
Her confidence pranced forth and lingered forever in the air.
For others opinions of her do not bother; she does not give a care.

Penelope Sky

Upon idolized lips I gander
Such flesh quite pleasurably divine
Within their hymns I seek to pander
Upon idolized lips I gander
Brandishing lustful hints of banter
An appetite dawns for your design
Upon idolized lips I gander
Such flesh quite pleasurably divine

Names From Yesteryear

Hortense and Gertrude
   Priscilla, Imogene
Once-popular names
   no more to be seen

Isadore, Cornelius
  Cyrus and Mortimer
Back in the day such
  names courted her

You never know though
  when a name may return
Such as Ambrose, Edsel
   Penelope or Fern

Penelope and Her Rat

Penelope has the look of haughty
I doubt she could ever be naughty
She has a trained rat
That once ate a cat
Truly I am just being snotty

Penelope has ways that are distinct
Her wordage is curt and succinct
Her rat will gnaw your face
A simple disgrace
Neither thinks their feces doth stink

Mediteranean Dreaming

Golden palm trees,
Along the coast,
Stoic and carefree,
Maple ones,
Shedding the golden dresses,
Of their leaves,
Rhythms naked,
As autumn reveries,
As the mediteranean sea,
With its seashells,
Lyrical waves, and stars,
Are dreaming for penelope,
With goya sunsets and van gogh,
Starry nights

Deep In the Basement

Deep in the basement of the east wing
Lady Penelope keeps a Thing
    With big teeth and claws
    And horrible jaws
And feeds it her husband’s old flings.

While sister Edith keeps under covers
A creature that crawls and gibbers and mutters,
    That’s disgusting and spiny,
    Appalling and slimy,
And feeds it her old boyfriends and lovers.

Gluggamous-Fluggamous, Spitimy-Bitimy

Gluggamous-fluggamous
Grandfather Thaddeus
went to the grocery store
bought him a lime

Home with tequila and
salt coated shot glass he
unceremonious
lost track of time.

Spitimy-bitimy
Grandma Penelope
done with her work early
home she did race.

One glance at Grandfather
mega-monstrosity
Grandma retreated to
Clyde's warm embrace

Pepe Le Pew and Penelope Pussycat

Pepe Le Pew
Quest for love he would always pursue
But his over enthusiastic romantic way
Is rejected by a skunk look alike who keeps running away.

Penelope Pussycat
Smothered in kisses and squeezes she would always combat
A black cat with an accidental painted white stripe
Penelope knew she wasn't that type.

Pink Penelope

Pink Penelope Porcupine,
  Never had a dime.
  Often went to bed,
  Without a shred of bread!
  Until one day,
  She found a way.
Renting out her spikes you see,
  To earn a living,
  While always giving,
  To the community.
They loved to roast marsh mellows,
  And Pink Penelope porcupine,
  Rented hers out,
  Four for a dime.
  Today people say,
  "Pink Penelope porcupine,
  Always has a dime!
  She is tucked into bed,
  With bread and a spread!"

The Princess and the Pimp

A preening promiscuous princess posed as "Penelope Prude."
With her poodle and parasol; well-perfumed, on Pine Street she stood.
A pompous pilfering pimp with a pink-painted poodle passed by.
He paused, popped his eyes, then approached while plotting to pounce and ply
the princess with persimmons and pearls, prepared to profit from her,
but Penelope quipped, “Poppycock! I’m a capitalistic entrepreneur!”

She Is Riding An Ostrich

She will probably be dressed to the sevens but riding a goat.
I could not wait to see her, my Great Aunt, Myrtle Van Poat.
I think she traded the goat for an alligator Uncle Tye said.
Well maybe she won’t come at all, maybe she’s dead.

The relatives sound jealous of Aunt Myrtle if you ask me.
She has been on cruises, and adventures in at least six seas.
She did not tie herself down with a dull, boring, banal life.
She’s riding an ostrich! Says Penelope, Uncle Tye’s jealous wife.

Penelope's Tea Party

Sounds a little bourgeoisie
to put on a formal sit-down tea
all dressed up with a bumblebee

As she sets up under the willow tree
it's the perfect antidote to a bout of ennui
for sweet little adorable Penelope

A couple of cookies fresh from the bakery
a french custard that's sublimely velvety
topped with a garnish of floral scented potpourri

Oh how charming and delightful to be
blessed with a child's spontaneity
and find pleasure in such simplicity
