Children In the Marketplace
Will it be the actors?
Will it be the singers?
Or will it be the dancers
Who bring the Gospel
With a twist?
Or will it be the pastors,
The apostles and the prophets,
The teachers and evangelists?...

Train
I ride the train of thought through the cosmos and the heavens
I ride it through the milky pastors where night and day lasts forever
I ride it all the way to the end of the line
I ride it all the way to the end of time....

Our Daily Bread
The streched begging bowl
Fate has dealt a harsh turn
The streets they do call home
Clean linen are but only stories
Hard pavement offers yet
But no comfort..
The future looks bleak
Hope is for the next meal
The street pastors sermons
Of a God they don't understand
Pray they do daily for a full tummy...

Three Magi
They had been following his star.
Was it Luther, Calvin or Smith?
Quickly approaching
is second Millennium of his crucifixion.

Where are his signs?
Pastors are usurping the Lord
with prophetic messages,
eager to sit on his throne.

Is he among us,
somewhere homeless,
unrecognized?
The Wise still seek him....

Confusion
They are what they learn,
and they've learned so much
from their pastors and teachers
when mom wasn't there,
and dad was defining himself.

They are loved second hand
by aunts and uncles distant and suspect.
From the back of a hand
to the stroke of a cheek,
confusion curdling self-respect.

They are what they're used to,
it stems from regard or neglect....

Confusion
They are what they've learned,
and they've learned so much
from their pastors and teachers
when mom wasn't there,
and dad was defining himself.

And some are loved part time,
by aunts and uncles distant and suspect,
from the back of a hand
to the stroke of a cheek,
confusion curdling self-respect.

They are what they're used to,
it stems from regard or neglect....

Premium Member Meekness
I had lunch with an old friend today A man I have admired for his humility, All pastors could learn from his humble way It would foster an atmosphere of civility. Few in leadership, I’ve observed, are meek A characteristic found in the best, although, A trait most view as synonymous with weak Though the Good Book says that’s not so.

Blame Game 201
We prefer putting blame on pastor-counseler
For secretly meeting her without him
He, not suspecting, divide & rule strategem

She later explained, I gave Dean my side
In case you blamed me for our "fall"
It was indeed love (of this world) after all

Best way forward, Dear Heart, seek His Will
Our free will always is our freedom, personality
LORD God never canceled The Commandments Ten...

Premium Member White Mittens
Fog came early to Nebraska,
and slender churches became hidden.
Pastors came out of them with scarves,
their children tight-dressed
                       and with white mittens.

Cars moved slowly,
dipped beams constant; the radio turned on.
The fog came early - unawares.

Heart Transplant
I am a miserable victim
of regular heart-transplant
the first heart troubled me
the second was oversize
the third is had ten chambers
It emerged to hearts of today
are no longer biological organs
in functional system of life
I do not trust pastors either
priests tell me own things
three rings I have put on
I’ll hire a spy at any fee
to scribble daily report about
about covert life of my heart...

Preaching Punchers
Two bible-blabbering pastors
from two denominational sectors
ended up in stitches and plasters.

One man yelled: "Faith alone can save a man!"
The other screamed: "Only good deeds can!"

They swung bulky bibles, shouted curses,
bludgeoned and battered their righteous faces.

Oh, how they tried to kill each other,
for faith, for charity, but didn't bother
to heed the Lord's words: "Love one another."...

Nigeria of Our Own
Destined we are curdle together by nature
Though at the twin rivers shore
Believing same will provoke harmony
Bridge on the rivers and wall of our minds
Let the power that be Strike balance
Sweet home now wilderness exile
King, Obis, Emirs, Pastors, Imams and likes stoop to stooge
Politicians dictate tune of bomb
And never wait for tone
When shall we learn to live Siamese like these yonder rivers?
I wept for my darling country...

Grandfather On the Throne
Grandfather on the throne
Groaning and regifting
Promises like passing pleas
Why subscribe to this disease?
Death will come like it always has
Through birth another delivery

Fear and theft
Change the world
The projection is a dream
With your eyes you cannot see
The barrier from you to me
Hope is all a stage
The drama comes to indoctrinate

Search for greener pastors
What we forgot is what we got
Desire is an entrance...

A Slap Or a Tickle
They are what they learn,
and they've learned so much
from their pastors and teachers
when mom wasn't there,
and dad was out misbehaving.
And some are loved part time,
by aunts and uncles distant and suspect,
from the back of a hand
to the stroke of a cheek,
confusion curdles self-respect.
They are what they're used to,

Premium Member Heritage of Faith
The apostles entrusted the “Sacred deposit” of the faith
Contained in Sacred scripture and Tradition
To the whole Church
By adhering to this heritage
The entire holy people
United to its pastors
Remains always faithful to the teaching of the apostles
The brotherhood
To the breaking of bread
Prayers
So, in maintaining
Practicing
Professing the faith that has been handed on
There should be a remarkable harmony between the bishops

Premium Member The Feet Of Them
THE FEET OF THEM

How beautiful are the feet of them,
the pillars of strength, and stance of him,
the hands, the smile and face of him,
who brings to us good news.

How lovely are the voices of them,
the song, the Word, the sound of him,
the message of grace and love of Him,
sending them who brings good news.

How precious the hoary heads of them,
the glory of the Lord of them,
the birth, the life, and death of them,
who brings to us good news....

The Pastors Wife
The pastors Wife

The Pastors wife strong and true,
With so many hats yet knows what to do.

Knowing she loves him with all her heart,
Always supporting him right from the start.

Supporting the Church and congregation,
a Blessed Christian leader of our great nation.

Making a difference in all our lives,
in support of our Pastor in all his great strives.

So we honor her today in every way,
with loving support on this Special day.

We Love and thank you Pastor Jamie...

Muted Messengers
Tumultuous tale told and taught throughout time
Chiding cheers and chants and church bells chime
Parishioners of pastors who've past their prime
Claims of cunning conquers and cryptic crime
Daunt deeds to deviants dying for a nickel and dime
Grieve for the gains gone-by who grovel in grime
Sent forth by a sovereign who sought sublime
Messengers now muted no more than mime
Rue the revered who suit to rewrite the rhyme
Cast off couriers contrary to who create the crime...

Fairies
Across the midnight sun though the twinkling diamonds
A sparkle of light lingers among the arid of emptiness
A luminous spell makes its way to the limbering valley of rainbows and green
pastors
Where glimmering colors reside and dance among the orchid tree
They are a wonder to behold with wings of pearl and bodies like elves
 so little elves
So little in size they help nature hand and foot with their pixie dust
Beautiful and intelligent they resemble are hopes and dreams...
