L Milton Hankins Poet Quatrain

Meekness

I had lunch with an old friend today
A man I have admired for his humility,
All pastors could learn from his humble way
It would foster an atmosphere of civility.

Few in leadership, I’ve observed, are meek
A characteristic found in the best, although,
A trait most view as synonymous with weak
Though the Good Book says that’s not so.
