Meekness

I had lunch with an old friend today A man I have admired for his humility, All pastors could learn from his humble way It would foster an atmosphere of civility. Few in leadership, I’ve observed, are meek A characteristic found in the best, although, A trait most view as synonymous with weak Though the Good Book says that’s not so.

The meek shall inherit the earth. Humbleness is not subservience, as some people wrongly take it for, unfortunately. Lovely Quatrain, Thank you, Milt.

A truly humble person, I become in awe of their presence. A wonderful feeling and inspiration. Your blessed to know him, as I'm sure he feels the same about you, my friend. Bill

Thanks so much, Becky. You see, most of the time I think in rhymes. I don't know why, but it surely comes in handy!
