Valentine's Ellip Contest
Low-cut dress
Jeweled excess
You inspire

Wine this eve
Let’s conceive
Our desire

Cordon bleu
Dancing, too
Hearts afire

My lament
Time’s descent
Night’s expired

Two brothers save coins
Look forward

Read, reread poster, pictures
Talk about strange sights

Main big tent
Brothers find a seat

Someone in main tent screams,"Fire"
Boys run, bam, brick wall

Forgotten
I have looked in vain,
but my name is not listed
among the “great” names of history.

My heart skips when I learn
a distant relative was
a name that others will recognize.

But the generations between
are all forgotten names and
long forgotten people.

What a cold, sad thought
that not a person in the world
thought about them once today,
except me....

African Spring
African Spring

The rain has settled
liquidy soil
ingested to wait
the blessing of Spring
nature renewed

mystical blooms
surround the veldt
in Africa
endeared by Sun

Clivia
yellow strength
likens Sun

waits for
its kin

Moon

Premium Member Eyes Gaze
When the sun cast pastel colors
On the far eastern horizon
Like kisses exchanged between lovers
Drawing me as the scent of spring
Lures the honeybee to come taste
Notebook, pen, dictionary bring
To porch, ears tuned, eyes gaze__no haste

Alphabeth Poem: a For Apple
ALPHABETH POEM: A FOR APPLE

An Apple a day
Keeps the doctor away,
Giving fiber in each bite
Protecting against the mites.

Everyday eating apples
Or drinking some snapples,
All well and fruity
As though its your duty.

That red, green or yellow apple
The choice being subtle,
The pectin in the skin
Makes "going" a win.
