The Lonely Sounds of Silence

The calm before the storm creeps in,
Silence amongst us, speaking its lonely words,
We hear naught, for naught is heard.

8th of October

No sunlight today
Naught but a cloud
No bliss this day
On this day of October
The day you were born
Oh, somber Tuesday

Questions

Shall all these
tears be wasted?
Will every ache
be for naught?
Is there meaning
to every sigh?
Can dead dreams
be revived?

Judge Naught

Integrity is such a trudge
Its easier to buy a judge
For Trump, Barr none,
Trump's will be done
Americans love a good fudge

Her past is murky
Filled with secrets and falsehoods
She speaks of it naught
She is a mystery novel
Whose pages are glued shut

If you have nothing good to say
Speak naught at all, so saith they
And so my poem must end here
I've nothing good to say, I fear

Except, Perhaps, Prayer

Curse. Rail. Spit.
In short impress your peers
With your modernity.

Sneer. Scoff. Hit.
But naught will save
You in eternity.

Its like Karen Carpenter knew
How I long to be close to you
But COVID-19
Has slipped in between
Naught to do but colour me blue!

A little levity
    goes a long way
      I always say

My eco car runs on natural gas
Naught to sixty, what a blast

Refueled by baked beans
All free from a humans ass

I tapped the poetry bin
Naught but an empty echo
The stillness of a blank wall
Decorated by a frozen Gecko

Loathsome Peepers

American women are dying
Leaving children and doctors crying
There's naught they can do
Abortion's taboo
Because prejudiced men keep prying

Premium Member Thoughts Away

I had a thought
    It flew away
    Was that because
    it's not my day

    Perhaps
    the thought
    came to naught
    Who's to say

When she saw the economy brought
naught but poverty; said Ms Charlotte,

Premium Member A Venerable Morning

a venerable morning
scorning
the absence
of destiny
all for free

Venus De Milo

Venus de Milo sought high and low
for her arms akimbo. Long ago
I offered to look too
for those two lost ampu-
tated limbs, but naught said that bimbo.
