No sunlight today
Naught but a cloud
No bliss this day
On this day of October
The day you were born
Oh, somber Tuesday
Out comes the sun
Straight to the beach
Lots of good fun
To the Little kids teach
The water is cool
In the hot sun
A day spent in a cool pool
Is such good fun
The day finally ends
Home we do run
As the sun does send
Tomorrows new fun
Waking up to the dull drab grey,
the washed out color of my cheeks;
So cold outside day after day
through the window frigid air sneaks;
Winter Be Gone! I've had enough!
You've stolen every bit of grandeur
leaving your cold icy fluff;
Now all I see is Spring's allure
Behind that angry frozen glare
Lies the slowing of winters dance;
Sunshine and flowers tip the air
We long for thaw, Spring's romance

A summer’s day is like a dream,
The sun that shines, the flowing stream.
The bird’s that sing their summer song,
A perfect day that last’s so long.
But not so long, for when night fall’s,
The cool dark breeze, the wild life calls.
Owl’s awake to find their prey,
The moon’s their sun, the night their day.
And so the darkness turn’s to light,
Another day bid’s good bye to night.
The grass is warmed by the sun’s bright ray,
Another dreamy summer’s day.
