Autumn
autumn sky
patches of twilight
in the falling leaf

autumn dawn
mother serves white rice
on an almond leaf

autumn dawn
she sees a white hair
in my mustache

autumn
listening deep
to my inner voice

on a stone bench
mother fingers her wrinkles
autumn loneliness...

She has everything a man would desire

Striking features macho guys do admire

A mustache to foil her grin

Plus a beard upon her chin

And black leather and boots for her attire

There once was a sweet little lass from Eire

Who had everything a man could desire

          A mustache she wore

               And biceps galore

With bass voice like that of the town crier

Tracks
on a red dirt road
choo-choo trains
puff puff
as a child plays in the dust

golden are his childish eyes
blond will be his mustache
when he drives
a corvette
along
this same red dirt

Ma and Pa
keep a dog pack
in a small holding of heaven now

he will not find his choo-choo train...

My cat have a mustache like a lion
Her tail looks like a rat
Cause it is too fat

She's a kangaroo when playing
She have to play in the night

Someone shot a sloth-
in time-lapse photography
Descending a tree
 with Charlie Chaplin movements
minus mustache,
its tail hooked over its arm like a walking stick

The eye never moved–
like a dancer's in pirouette,
sunlight flashing like a million paparazzi

Overcome by clouds-
a most un-sloth-like creature....

One Lady Wears a Mustache
C-rimson sun up above
L-ights up the Tuesday;
A-fter Monday night is gone,
R-aindrops fade away.
I-t's a beautiful birthday,
S-eventh February morn;
S-hadows have vanished,
A-nother woman is born.

G-irl with hair or bristles,
U-pper lip has in a flash;
R-apture is truly brought,
O-ne lady wears a mustache....

Abnormality
I came to the drooping scent of wine,
touched beard and mustache,
was blind in the nearest shining of the sun,
earthworm dug earth under feet,
I felt the coolness and heard sing of quean,
thought learned I'm only on these ladies eyes,
kept ataxic gait
through the lane of myself
at last
endless end
did not find me…...

Premium Member Mustache Sandwiches Please
Mustache sandwiches if you please
I am confused but a second
Then I jump on the band wagon
What about mouse whisker sandwiches?
Mortified muffin sandwiches?
Meager mayonnaise sandwiches?
Now to turn this into a poem somehow.
I sit and stare as a marigold sandwich takes a bite out of my leg.
That works I think.
Writing it down....

My Mustached Devil
I have a Kitten
His name is Alex
He has a mustache
He is black and white
And small and skinny
He gets his baths
Once every two months
He does not like them
I do understand that
He is a little demon
Always getting into trouble
Strewing yarn everywhere
Cute and silly
Simple and loving
We call him Al
My little kitten
Whose name is Alex....

An Ugly Ad
“Shop now, pay later” Those are the words of a catalog retailer. I see the ad to the right of the screen. It is one of the ugliest ads I’ve ever seen. This guy has a mustache and a strawberry nose. Letters are fastened to his teeth which he shows. I hardly think it is good marketing strategy to display his face that looks so ugly.

UNCLE BILL’S BIRTHDAY

It’s Uncle Bill’s birthday today
and we’ve hardly celebrated
his leather jacket
his teasing ways
seventy’s haircut and mustache
his deep green car
with crevices and dents
the way he looks at us
from an old photograph
sitting in his faraway car
working with my other grandma
at Scott’s
...she’s gone too

Copy Fries
Before I became a bag of potatoes
I used to be as pencil thin as any salty chip.
I had a pencil thin mustache,
pencil thin legs,
pencil thin neck,
in fact all my appendages
were said to be pencil thin.
You might suppose that my pencil is thin,
but no,
it is actually a fountain pen
and it is as fat as a potato
I carry it behind one of my cauliflower ears....
