8-12ish Number 1

8 12ish #1

Tonight, whilst I dream,
In the midst of becoming mist,
Sighing I wish you were there.
Your eyes appear beside me,
Their blue spark delight.
Your hair between my fingers roam,
I move into the movement.

A First Grader Sets His Goal

Setting goals with a first grader.
What do you want to be?
A unicorn.
Okay. What steps will you take?
I will drink unicorn juice and move into a unicorn barn.
Two steps.
I say “easy peasy”.
He shakes his head ‘yes” agreeing with me

Creative Drifting

A space on the wall,
it refused to allow me
to move into the zone
and free me from
the prison of the
written words that challenged
me to be free from them.
The very act of telling me
to forget them compelled
me to remember.
How difficult
it is to drift into space.

Horror Poem Number One

Driving down the black tongue
Of the desert highway
Mirages rise
Like pools of water on the highway
Reflecting even the sky beneath

 Suddenly, a darkness arises
A flatness on the pale horizon;
There is no time or purpose to slow down -
It rises, and engulphes the world

We move into it
And it

Rex the Hermit Crab

Rex the hermit crab carried a trashed shell
that reeked with a horribly rotten smell.
He intently scrubbed
till his claws were nubbed
then resolved to move into a hotel.

Someday

Someday I will walk
the streets of glory.

Someday I will see
those streets of gold.

Someday I will see
my Jesus.

Someday will have
no more pain.

Someday no tears
will flow.

Someday will sit
down with my mother.

Someday will move into
my mansion, built for me.

Someday may be
today.

Conjunctions

We must have
looked through the same window.
Though we had yet to meet
an image developed
a reality fleshed out
an inevitable coincidence
began to move into place.
Until (only yesterday)
the camera
became a second window for us.
There is a real photograph now-
we are looking into the lens
as if we had always known.

Conjunctions

Once we must have
looked through the same window.
Even though we had yet to meet
an image of us together slowly developed.

An inevitable coincidence
began to move into place.
Until (only yesterday)
the camera
became a second window for us.

There is a real photograph now.
We are looking into
the lens, we’re smiling
as if we had always known.

The Swing In the Oak

The move into the country when...The
Winter cold had already begun, the..Swing
Hanging in the front yard invited......That
Child, to come play, remember how I .Swang
Oh! How much fun, my feet would touch sky..From
Morning until noon then again when.............The
Sun would set red or golden in sky.............Tall
High, higher the swing would go in the........Oak

Teasing Tankas

Before my eyes blink
In rays of a waking day
I can see you smile
As my arms gently embrace
Another night spent with you.

My lips can still taste
The passion found in your heart
Relighting embers
Of my own sensual hunger
As I move into your kiss

I know your essence
The scent of your love lingers
From my dreams each night
My hand reaches the pillow
But you are no longer there.

The Path To Freedom

Let's not waste
any more time
   We must seek
our freedom
   Before we are taken
from these shores
As we move into
new experiences
  Delight in
new dreams
Rainbows appear
in the distance
  and give us relief
from the tyranny of
  the years
You can fly like a sparrow
if you let the wind
   carry you
Float like a white cloud
our days are brief
Make the most of them !

the pay back

The pay back

The Adelsons, a rich Jewish family in the USA
Gave millions of dollars to Trump with the understanding of let Israelis move into the West Bank as we see the IDF are moving in there
Killing many, trying to dislodge the Palestinians
It appears what the failed to do in Gaza
The military are now brutalizing the local people, which is against the law, that as we know Israel does not respect

Rodin's Kiss

it begins when i move into your eyes
my hand gently pushes aside hair
quietly moves down and along
resting in anticipation beneath the chin
softly raise those delicate lips
never leaving the gaze in your eyes
a soft cry escapes
as doves dance upon delicate velvet
my arms pull you closer
feeling your body moving into mine
life has never held
any more of a treasure than this
the ecstasy in Rodin's Kiss

My Son

I watch this boy as he grows, from youth into manhood in no time at all.
Like watching summer move into Fall.
His eyes are deep with knowlegde and insite.
His ways are gentle and polite.
I marvel at this friend of mine and try to get inside.
I will talk to him today during our car ride.
"What are you thinking, please share your thoughts, it's what I want to know."
"I'm just thinking if I was spiderman, how really fast I'd go."

Connoisseur of Life

Conniosseur of Life

The vintage of our time begins
To sip and taste the wine of Life
To seek the essence of my search
and find a flavor I enjoy
It’s limpid sensuality
And all the sultry tastes of Love
To blend into a sweet bouquet
Ignoring all the dregs of gloom
A sediment that’s left to waste
To move into a sweet perfume
and swirling colors of our dreams
Drink of it’s substance and feel well
For dreams are connoisseurs of Life

Daughter

you feel like it's going nowhere
and your slipping off the track
you can't move into tomorrow
with all of this on your back
all I see is anguish
when I look into your eyes
no words of comfort I offer
give you peace of mind

daughter, you're still young
and you will find your path
love will be restored
rising out of this aftermath
don't give up on faith
don't give up on prayer
look upward to His heavens
you'll find the answers there

Socks

Conceived of wool and birthed Siamese
In grand factories by hands unheard.
My socks move into separate drawers
Like orphaned siblings.

Soon
Each of my six pairs are strangers
that move in perfect lockstep
inside loafers in offices, brogues in churches and Chucks in clubs.
Then—

For nights’ sakes, on the floor;
Rolled rainbows of imperfect donuts.
Who thinks of unmatched socks
while he sucks in his gut to be a body stacked atop another,
to love?

Guardian of the Galaxy

Through this dangerous unknown, my body floats on
I am never alone in this chaos I have learned to ingest
You crush your art into my meteorite mortar
Meshing all the fragrances together in a sterile strength only you possess
You pour your crushed demeanor upon a misunderstood mind
Anonymous grievances that only translate into magnificence

You are the guardian of the galaxy
Guiding every wrong move into a reason to exist
Guiding even the lost into true meaning

Myriad

Thoughts float
Surge of awareness
Something stirs

Feel a deep surge
Curl of crisp touch
Endless corridors

Move into touch
Moments flash by
Notions of ease

Fragrance now floods
Scented bouquets
Floral pulsations

Myriad movements
Sync within chaos
Random yet connected

Ideas ooze oomph
Creative concepts stream
Dreams of yesterdays

No much to curl
Poise of vain voice
Wear and tear string

Destination

time crawls like a spy through lives
sneaks unwavering through the undergrowth
only the deepest can handle it
rusted nails hide in knots
we move into a hologram of suffering
where observations give us wings to growth
I met you on the hill of unity
where emotions turn in reflection
under the banner of universal truth
your love encapsulated in resonance
indisputably the most beautiful thing that is conceivable
two travelers on the way to their destination
