Weary Contemplation
The weary contemplation
Of worldly affairs
Within the sacred precincts
Of the mosque where thought
Becomes prayer
And speech wisdom
Memories of the blazing sun
In the cooling shades
Of the oasis....

Call from the mosque,
Freshness of dawn
Walking alone in calmness;

Reddish sky of the East,
Bird songs from trees
Memories bring happiness;

Brightness of the morning
Lively children in streets
Blessings are endless....

Masquerades
A fake science cornered, uncover as a genuine
Realm of human and sentient creatures
Heating religion, falsify and refute

Mosque, church, synagog, temple, and somehow
Go(o)d activities could be explanatory
As the universe has a finite ( . Y . )...

Borobudur
O Borobudur, I shed my clothes to reach the winds of your dome.
Each footprint marking life’s trails engraved in dampened memoirs
Now, breaths enter an unlit mosque residing within me

Dying Star
A dying star in the middle of nowhere
Where there's no water, earth nor air
No temple, no church, no mosque nor prayers
Stood as I saw what she wears
Nothing but the shining waves of a brown hair
The green and the grey is a killer combination, I swear
I'm helpless, this is not fair......

Transcendent
TRANSCENDENT

Neither He is in churches,
Nor in temples;
He is with us,
He is within us.

Neither in Gurudwaras
Nor in mosque;
He is everywhere,
In common folk.

Neither in caves
Nor in woods;
But to be found
Everywhere, in, brotherhood.

Sun approaching the quiet sea
Blue boats leaving port slowly,
Young girls playing with dolls
Andalus music with mint tea;

Call from the white mosque
Lights and silence in the city,
Perfume from pine trees
Neighbors talking quietly;

Freshness covering the night
Mother closing windows gently,
Kitchen becoming lively
Sardines and salads ready....

Sacred Things
Every human heart is a church,
a sacred temple, a holy mosque,
and God is found within
in measure to its love.

Some say
there are no miracles.
Look around, I say,
and then see--
A fat baby laughing,
a new cloak of silken snow,
a heart beating 90 years,
a mind seeing inside.

What is an orchid
if not a miracle?
What is love
if not the wonder
of the universe?...

Sleepless Night
Studying is important to me
I slept not so as to have A1 in the
course
Studying harder
Leading the whole class on my mind
Refused 2 drink hard drug
Am devoted by my time
Getting to morning, almost 6oclock
Going to the mosque on my mind
I realised that have burnt almost four
candles
Now recalling what I have read in
examination hall
Its not an easy things....

Covid-19 Lockdown Or Meltdown - Pick One
COVID-19 LOCKDOWN OR MELTDOWN (pick one)

You want a meltdown
and barnish the lockdown?
Sport activities resumption?
Not yet a conclusion.
Dead businesses emergence?

Church & Mosque convergence?
Return normalcy long gone?
Okay! DEATH has to go on
for LIFE to go on
if we all must move on.

Mosque Kettles
Because of mosque kettles,
Mama stay because
Grammar loves you,
I will sell for a billion trillion dealion peppers
Tricked for a thousand years,
Ask Babangida or Buhari,
They dine at the throne and palace,
While we pay subservience at their feet,
We went in with tools,
Came out with rules
With His sons,
Drank holy communion,
Which healed them of Corona Virus...

Inside a Mosque On a Friday Prayer
UhUhUh! Even cattle on sunny hot days
Feel suffocation
Inside windows-doors-shut sheds
(yes! i have seen it, how their eyes bulge out and redden,
And they take deep sighs,
And look perplexed in fear.)
And no one! no one! minds it, here
In this huge crowd!
Even this arrogant hands-raising-high
Moulvi...
Oh! I get angry
But soon i cool down,
As it quickly comes to my mind, the old saying,
"As is the preacher So art his listeners."...

Premium Member What the Radical Religious Rabble Rousers Are Thinking
All of Islam deserves our hate
Unlike ours—this faith can’t be great
The ground zero mosque
Is an evil kiosk
Our lord says to obliterate

What’s better than the Ku Klux Klan
And frightens the bad Taliban?
Yes—with a book roast
America will toast
Those evil who read their Koran

Burning books ain’t nothing to fear
Infernos are fun with a beer
So with drink all cheer—(hip hip hooray!)
To hate is nothing queer
Hitler did it—and he we revere...

The koala's spiritual beliefs
Are difficult to assess.
He attends no mosque or synagogue
And never does confess.
He's not a cannibal and so
Communion is appalling,
And as for gospel singing,
It's just so much caterwauling.
I suppose he's an agnostic,
Yet he often stops and ponders
The reason for this universe
And all its many wonders.
And so we must be satisfied
With this insight that's been slipped us,
While he goes back to being cute
And munching eucalyptus....

Watch the Words You Use Online
Watch the Words You Use Online

By Elton Camp

Be careful of words filled with hate
Bomb, death, president, assassinate

For keywords, Sam does search
Allah, mosque, guns and church

This poem likely has their attention
Because these words I dared mention

If there’s a midnight knock at my door,
You can bet I won’t use ‘em anymore

Freedom of speech we may have still
Keyword searches the right will chill

The Alien and Sedition Acts revived
Government censorship is still alive...

Supplication
One morn I went to a Temple
My Lord God to pray,
I rang and rang the hanging bell
Our world to be happy and gay!

To a Mosque I went one day,
Sat and prayed 'fore my Master:
In our hearts ever stay
And make us all human better!

Once I went to a Church too
With God in close touch to feel,
I prayed with a heart true
For all the poor a daily meal!

And today a Gurudwara I visited
To worship my holy God,
Joining my palms I humbly prayed
To cast evil 'th His divine rod!...

Premium Member Midnight Mosque
In translucent silence
sapphire-capped minarets
stand like ardent rose buds
under glint of a firefly moon.

Gone are birds of day
like ruby breasted dawn
spilling ashes of roses
on a saffron horizon,
rhododendrons and azaleas floating
up high to burnish
the mosque's ghosted towers.

Through night's brisk lapis
the hushed teal dome bides
wafting apple breezes
as walls and turrets lumber,
shielding the tiled plaza
until morning steeps the landscape
in the aura of peacocks....
