Down by the rock pools
My hand gloved in your wrinkles
New discoveries
Starfish, crabs and mermaids purse,
Squirting sea anenomes.
Hand painted fish
Swim near a reef
Of pastel pink
In a sea of crystal liquid
Where melancholy mermaids
Pine for mortal lovers..
Monsters roam the deep
making mermaids weep
Mermen blend with coral
the message drives the moral
moon flizzens round face
sea mermaids are singing blues
sprayed into the air
contagious joyful giggles
whimsical frivolity
frolicking in a fun
aquamarine playpark
mermaids in the
twilight of their youth

The sea enchants much as mermaids do.
Waves as far as I can see.
The cool salt air upon my lips.
Sweet sounds of freedom beckon.

From the first sightings of manatees
grew the legends of mermaids? O, please!
Either eye tests are fails,
or the sailor’s from Wales,
and has spent too much time on the seas.
delicate mermaids sculpted from pebbled beach
work of art which will be gone in days
bringing the beauty of the sky into onlooker's eyes
mystical magic, shows artistry and skill
Smiling mermaids bathe
As love struck nymphs and fairies
On the backs of fish
Course around the moonlit pond
Watched by crooning frogs and toads

*********
the azure ocean
sparkling in aquamarine
a mermaids playground
Do people still get born with tonsils
Or have we evolved past that stage?
Why were they there anyway?
Maybe for when we were mere-creatures
Mermaids and mermen
Swimming in Atlantis
thinking of gorgeous mermaids
are you the mother of pearls
what shall float your selfish boat
from sea to shore to sky high
erode me like grains of sand
you make oceans froth and boil
The mermaids ball music still lingers .
Swordfish Fred and his shoal of sweet singers
Had a whale of a time
On the octopus slime
Caressed by their salty fish-fingers .
(From a Mermaids lament saga)
Oh lady of the deep doth cry
floats in tears of her love
for him;
for her true love just drifts on by
needs the air from above
can’t swim.

Let me know
when you are leaving
for a day away
in Eleuthra
The Exuma Cays
Long Island
or The Berry Islands
so we can bask away
in some fun in the sun and sea
like pirates, mermaids and sailors
dreams
mermaids
stirring to life
in every man's
imagination
churning
spurring
raw whimsy
gleam and charms
'neath wanton
magic of
blue moon

I cursed the mellowness in me
To be louder than the sea
Flowing until the waves are rough
Limp-legged are the mermaids love
I filter quietness in trade for rebellion in me
Living life outloud caught in the deep
Sleepy summer
Naked girls sleeping
Mermaids in waiting

With pastels in hand,
I paint the life of the sea...
in sunny Capri.
Giant Cyclops settled here,
and fishermen still fear them...
legends become real.
Mermaids sing with lyre,
luring them in your cold deep...
as images appear.
the magical hue that spawns mermaids somewhere betwixt sea and sky

My ribcage is like a conch shell
where you can press your ear
against my narrow chest
where the music of the ocean tides
meet the songs of the mermaids
flowing and circulating
through my heart made of ocean water
and my breastplate made of coral reefs
Lovely lotus
Covering the pond
Like China ladies
Clothe in fine
Pink linen.
At night, lotus
Shimmering glows
In the moonlight
Heralding great
Nymph serenading.
Cool day, lotus
Captivating beauty
Like mermaids
Capturing a man's
Soul to glory.
The other day, when I was walking by the sun-splashed sea,
I was overcome by a fiery joy and a titillating glee,
as, on silvery, green rocks not far from the yellow beach,
I heard mermaids singing, each to each.
And then they turned ~ and they sang to me!
Mermaids
The other mermaid?
Don´t you ask me about her,
she wore a tight dress and
was in love with a rich man
who had a big swimming pool.
Sourly her glossy lips
Open disdain
of my shower unit
But my rubber duck she cheekily
demanded
I kept in my water bed.
Such a round cute torso fin on curly haired mermaid gal named Lee
The other mermaids said wow! I wish I was Rubenesque like she
Lee can swish her tail and stir up bubbles from the bottom of the sea.
She heard them and giggled with happiness, feeling loved and free.
