Managing Madness
they don't know
the uneven work
we do

the hard and soft
moment to moment

dirt on the floor
dirt on the eyes
unsure of our future....

Premium Member The Kid and the Census Taker
It appears that Billy, the Kid had some fun with a census taker
during that period when the Kid was a cattle rustler.
On the application where it states what one does for a living
the Kid jotted down "cattle managing."...

Health Update
If doctors emphasize managing disease but not reducing their presence and incidence (eg. cancers), then medicine is similar to managing excrement: keep it out of sight, but NOT reduce it. Remember, there is always a good Dr. Crap, too...

Premium Member Managing Anger
When passions are inflamed, blunt words turn sharp and cut deep
Which is why it's important to pause, take deep breaths, and count to ten
Rather than thrust anger like an epee, just to impale

Premium Member Time So Elusive
Listen to poem:
run run run
days coming undone
managing thick and thin
while doing the backspin
hoped for a miracle
for time in a capsule
a mere hideaway
but no way, jose!

Tony said he was managing waste
When in fact, it was folk, he erased
He did see a shrink
But without a blink
He continued and hid them, untraced

Who runs Oz? The task,
A public servant you must ask!
PS clerk run our land,
Admirably, it's quite grand,
As they will tell you, tee hee,
They run budgets efficiently,
Managing Oz quite capably,

Premium Member Preacher
Don’t be that preacher
who’s lost touch with reality
and forgot how tricky it is to
stay on the right track
much too busy judging others
while work’s needed at home

Don’t be him, stay in your court
keep busy managing your own life

Damaged
Determined to forget all that has happened
A life of regretts
Managing to get by day by day

Every thought of him helps me through the pain
Day after day I wish for a new life for this one is damaged...

A Question For Soup Administer
I don't know how to contact the people managing this site. My name is Michael O'Donnell and I have been helping Brenda Elizabeth Rose. As she recently announced she is going blind. She has over 100 poems she has written before her vision problem. Is it okay for me to input the poems and read the comments to her? Thank you....

Death of the Next High
Alley cat scrawn
Bending leg pencils
Hair just too long
with no comprehension
Lost with no conscience
A haze at sixteen
Breaking out lines
gone to sleep with cocaine
I knew your smile
Eyelashes to here
No chance of managing
this lack of fear
Slept through your life
'xcept visions gone high
Lashes touch lashes
to breathing expired....

Sky Above, Earth Below
Heights used to be frightening.
I feared falling & not being able to stand again.
I feared being disappointed in myself.
I did - I fell a few times...
always managing to brush myself off & try & try.
No, it wasn't fun but little by little did I defeat the fear -
Now I really like who I am.
Things become much more clear when you test & learn for yourself....

Premium Member In Their Dna
Women spend a lifetime managing every penny. Clipping coupons, going to sales, in the spirit of saving a buck. I wish I had access to one now and forever more, to keep me out of the financial muck. Mama’s boys what we men want, is buying with what they saved us, expensive toys. Hope I learn to appreciate the little things women can do,because it’s in their DNA to see us through....

Marionette Cries
Stumbling, staggering,
barely managing,
I fell.
Severe, several times,
I continue to
fall.
A marionette bound
by strings
in the fist of time.

Lifeless
with or without strings.
Vacant,
my eyes glaze over.
Limp,
unless time tugs hard.

Painted smile on
fragile wood,
for the audience, I dance.
The lights go off and
the crowds file out,
over time, fade out

the painted smile....

Premium Member Micromanaging
Micro-managing her employees is what she does best.
Showing them how to use a spatula, stapler and scissors
Assuming they cannot pour water into a sink without her supervision
The employees have their resumes out in all directions
And her uncle who hired her has no idea of he is losing his company
For after she became the boss he retired to the beach
Having no idea what nepotism has done...

The Way Things Seem...
Torn and scattered, lost in a place without light.
Pulled in all directions but managing to stay in one.
Feelings that a reproduced by the subconscious.
Replacing the fear with a sense of disbelief.
Taking it one day at a time, the time will arrive.
No cadence in life, nothing to keep the momentum.
Falling into this cold, dark and dismal place.
Only trying to remember that you are not alone…...

Managing the Present
The past overtakes you,
steps out from a door
you did not see before.
Distant bird song
becomes a crow caw in your ears.
You recall all those yesterdays
and wonder,
wonder if you had
taken a different path
would you be here now
or somewhere better?
I mean,
it's not as if you had the life-skills
to manage this day or tomorrow,
but you choose to forget that
and that may be the best choice....

Premium Member The Dream Days
Dreamy days of summer, violet petals on the wind,
Apple green forest music, too bad it will soon end,
Petals cover wild walkways, summer's just leaving,
Trees are weeping beauty, summer is just grieving.

Tangelo sun is arising, full of destiny and purpose,
Like fading seasons, always managing to resurface.
Sunlit carpet of petals, late in a pretty garden year,
Like puffy clouds, always going, until others appear....

Premium Member Greedy Opportunistic Prostitutes
They get a group of scientists and ask them to work on flying machines.
They give them flying machines and they use them to bomb cities,
so how can scientists be scientific if they have allegiance to their country,
instead of pledging allegiance to the earth managing resources intelligently.
This would be true scientists to me.
Scientists in the military are not true scientists.
They are prostitutes or greedy opportunists....
