Lawns luxuriant
Drew sight of poor passersby
Barbed fence mocked when near!

Sunrise

{For Tayemise}
Do rise up like the sunshine grace,
And bathe me with your luxuriant morning rays,
So that my melancholy days,
Will turn to joy always.

When Winter's King, I'm curled up tight
As Spring takes wing, I burst forth bright
Summer's green I herald, luxuriant glory
Fall leaves behind my color-kissed story

Springtimes Kiss Ap

As zephyrs cool mischievous breezes,
    quiver hosts of vibrant daffodils.
Join us now, in roaming yonder pastures.
    Knowing wherein the early spring,
    luxuriant xanthic flowers grow.

Gorgeous colors come together, in a fantastic, impromptu dance,
Mingling with manifold others, in cascades of pure happenstance,
Encompassing a world of hues, like luxuriant gardens at a glance,
Or the magic of rainbow and of sunset, in zesty games of chance!

fresh scent of his shirt, pressed to my nose — Honolulu fire frangipani and hibiscus passion (too hot for the millennials) fine-wine aged, luxuriant tastes. Oh, Babe! 3/13/2019 What I Love Contest Sponsor- Maureen McGreavy

-beauty,In It's Death Throe's-

All that Beauty
meticulously arranged
it's luxuriant bounty
profusely displayed.

All that Beauty
of natural,blending colors
it's once emanating glory
now flaunted, floral fading aura's

All that Beauty
plucked, in silent objectivity
it's short lived, earthly sojourn
as Flowers set in coffin'd urn.

Cloud

Lissome cloud floats
In the celestial sky
With luxuriant pinion
Now rests
In total repose on the birch hill
A brief sojourn against the firmament
Then moves eastward
To besmirch the soil
In throes of parting

Alabaster beauty caressed delightfully.
Excruciatingly flirtatious gentle hands, incite jubilant kisses.
        Luxuriant moans naughtily offend pedestrians.
           Quieter rumblings satiate trembling urges.
 Vanquished wellsprings xeriscape yearning’s zealousness.

The Poet's Pen

An effusive reflection of prose from the poet’s pen
Strokes of grace and luxuriant sentiments fly free
Embracing temperance like sapphire blooms of brilliance
Caressing the canvas most liberating, and significantly
Like clouds drifting in delicately hued cascades
Metaphorically silent within its ethereal afterglow.

Vernal springtime is departing,
Leaving plush carpets of petals,
All along scented garden paths,
And also in luxuriant meadows.
The sun has grown deep orange,
With distinct traces of old gold.
Stars embedded in purple flash,
As moon magic charms the hills.
Rosy halcyon days are leaving,
And the mellow hours are near.

Premium Member Vanilla Moon

Vanilla moon of the billion star, milky night,
Peering over luxuriant treetops, evergreen.
Ivory clouds drift away to blues and bright,
On a spicy, pearl night, like none ever seen.

Daisy moon in onyx, all cream and chiffon,
With what loveliness is darkness enhanced.
Its alabaster rays pour upon a snowy swan-
Joy pranced on a path that sun last danced!

So It Happened

he appeared in my land
just like Adam in the Garden
bringing hope and life
the fruits grew luxuriant
soil became home of good things
then a serpent appeared from blue
the handsome man became naked
stomach bulged with greed
brain fool-hardy as rock
what a fate befell the land
as hardship came laughing
so it happened, still happens
in the land of the Blacks

Premium Member The Night Was Over

After a rainy night,
The sun rose shining bright.
Tree leaves coruscated,
And luxuriant turf covered the vale.

How sweet the grass so full of dew.
Birds left their nooks,
Twittering around the skies

How dazzling the vale
Reflecting a glorious sight.
A small rill tumbled down
The rugged hill tumbling over smooth pebbles.

Mossy growths sparkled
With ferns and silverweed now sprouted new.

Luxuriant Skies

Bent and crooked with
asphalt-sweaty ditches,
lined in sunny oak trees
with tangled picket fences.

The heaven lord,
painting relics in the air;
and though its flowers always fade,
it was all that was there.

Finding its way
in wandering spires,
while the familiar to and fro
of the silent height transpires.

Here, beneath a tree
and luxuriant skies,
these steps become a notion
as the last mile dies.

At a Birds-Flight of Joy

I recognize your inner blossom
the desire to grow blooms luxuriant
future buds along the love-river
sunlight resident in hopeful hours
every caress becomes a golden memory
in a waterfall of heart-desires
old shady places are left
at a birds-flight of joy
wait translates itself into drops full of pine
on a wild sea full of emotion
this storm will never lie
and I reap the fruits of your tree

Premium Member A Dream Within Reality

It's only a dream
sweet and sensuous
delectably delicious
tantalizing and tempting to the taste
oh, to indulge in opulence
to revel and feel
the surreal
but...
it's only a dream

Only a dream within reality
such luxuriant love
is what legends are made of
embellished every one
exaggerated expression
but legends languish
in the ordinary
no, it can't be real
it's only a dream

But I can dream.

Premium Member Wonderful

What wonder can compare to what you are?
Omniscient is your beauty and your grace.
Nuancing passion, pulsing like a star
Delightful to my eyes- your form, your face!
Embellished is my life with words from you.
Reality and dreams in them abide.
Fullment of desire, I taste anew.
Unchaste the thoughts of you that in me bide.
Luxuriant is life because of YOU!

The Pain of Desire

The dark half of the Moon is like the darkness in my heart
A darkness consumed by longing
My soul is weak
My flesh heaves
With desire
I am unsettled
I await the full Moon’s return
So we can be together
Without her there is nothing but barren hunger
My heart is in the shadows like the waxing Moon
While she turns away I turn to despair
Who will I express my words to?
If she does not return full and luxuriant as I have seen her in my dreams

Lonely Streets,Veins Become

Panoramic collision with stories poppin
Off like rounds from a .90(cal.) machine gun.
Demented shrapnel shooting out in every
 direction:
Wiping out all that scoff.
Luxuriant antipathy of all things
Intrudes at times.
Crashing every lousy star melted sings!
Summer begins its end & fall starts
Its chimes.
Carving into stone, the message once
Muses belted.

What lonely streets, veins become
As if her touch felt like a spent gun.

Raymond and Desmond

Tall fair Raymond,
And taller fairer Desmond,
Of each other heartily fond,
And of a deepening bond,
Soon this did a violence for a blonde,
By name Gladys Frond:
A human copy of Luxuriant Palm Frond,
To Raymond “Pure Gold” and to Desmond “Sparkling Diamond”.

One to the other ceases to respond,
For if Ray grabs her,
Des is ending in a pond,
And Des with her goes far,
Ray channeling his swell fund,
Into the purse of a dirty James Bond!
