Like Butter

Like butter
melting in pools of the sun
lilies shed their petals aflutter
fragrance in the air touching one another
as the heat of the day was done.

Butter On Toast

uncertain landmines ignite
hot lips in madness of touch.
they melt like butter on toast.

Fighting Wind

The wind is beating against my face,
Cutting through my jacket like butter,
Freezing my limbs slowly to the bone,
Blowing away my only warmth,
As i stare down this pitch white road.

Psychedelia

Rocking sun drips away like butter
Sunlight bleeds through curtains
in rose hung despair

Berry stained lips
taste sweet but
bloom as rare as
the seeds of packaged measure
she blended into poems

Nauita Tempus

Our past is never
 where its left,
the tide always returns

Those things unsaid
not put to bed,
like butter still unchurned

Returning once
returning twice,
its power built on fear

To undermine
those things adrift
—till anchored yesteryear

I Love You

I will always love you

Like a bird, you send my heart aflutter,
Over and over, it melts like butter,
Very quickly, I fell head over heels,
Even now, you can't know how it feels

You are my very best friend,
Over every single bend,
Until the very end

         I will always love you.

Your Wife

A man and a wife
they love themselves
like butter on the bread.

A man and a wife
they have their love
like sugar on tea.

They have a sweet love
full of joy
when it's new.

A man and a wife
they should love themselves
in pain and joy.

Love your wife
a gift from God,
your rib, your joy.

Down South

Sun drips away like butter
butterfly shadows melt across
a rocking chair porch
frosted lime, and smooth, summer shade bleed through,
permeate, settle in every weary bone
Jasmine and hibiscus embrace homesick nostrils
deeply
and scratchy blues records call out
it's all in the game, child
come on home

When You Hold Me

Bubbles
My tummy rumbles
When you hold me

Tight
I feel the strong grip
Don't let your hand slip
When you hold me

Flutter
My heart melts like butter
When you hold me

When you kiss me
When you hold me
When you whisper to me

I get bubbles
I get tight
I get flutters
When you hold me

Premium Member Christmas Time Favourite

Creamily melts in the mouth like butter
Comfort food that sets tongues aflutter.
Cups or mugs hold this rich luscious drink
Created from cocoa, sugar and milk.
Captivates taste buds in light, dark or white
Chocolaty goodness that's great day or night.
Christmastime favourite that always delights

I now bow down to her
Within the knowledge you never read this
But feel it in your center
The secret well that softens your breathe away
Astorm in your rising climate
Your harsh and blazing all-woman bravado
May you melt like butter in my heart
Only feeling this poem
As night-pulse love voodoo.
As day-throb wonder dust.

WEDDING NIGHT

The sex of the night they did wed,
At inkling, like butter on bread.
Then gymnast caused blush -
The blood it did rush.
How hard it was standing on head.

What a Pity

Without you i'm crying every night, what a pity
I want to play in your hair like a kitty
your hair is soft like butter
Your eyes are bright like water
Your voice is soft like feather
Your body's warm like leather
No way,it is like a heater
No way i'm just a liar
your body's hotter than fire
Your body's as hot as hell
Far more than i can tell

A Knife

A knife conceals identity in the sheath
Utilization comes in to question when
Embedded in the bread when touched
Without a handle or a blade, invisible
Inanimate as objects might appear
Ultimately
How does it make impressions
Like skaters dancing over ice like butter
Or slicing through day and night
Never mind
It is a knife
That's all that matters

Painting With Crimson

Today I painted my masterpiece
Of reds and whites and candle lights
Brilliant views of my baby blues
Quiver of my hand dropped stark silver

Colors crowded spread like butter
Muted music all too much suited
Falls as phantoms in all the halls
Cool tints overcome by crimson

Could the cop copy it with his camera?
Pardon the paint pouring from wrists
Tie together the tempting image

The Retreat

Vibrations awaken
the still night air,
unsettling the
sanded

Footprints..

At our steps,
one last clinging
before I let go,
of the skies

That stretch, across
our hidden place,
Like ghosts of
remnants

We bathe, in
phosphate
covered sheets

Bare..

Shivers escaping
through cascades
of hair, he strokes
the frail of my skin

like butter I twist,
I'm impaled,
so I inhale
him.

Premium Member over time

I did not come to love you over time

you were not slow to permeate my soul

grandma’s golden loaves baking in her oven

rising sunbeams entering my room

a dandelions reflection beneath a child’s chin

proving you like butter with warm toast

cinnamon and sugar

better I should let the words decide

nor hide myself within the droplets of the dew

everywhere I looked these eyes were you

A Slumber

Too long I sleep,
Only darkness I see;
Blackened, my eyes,
Blinded, I rise.

Too long I sleep,
How forgotten the world is,
How memories faded (in depth),
Like butter, it is melting,
The very life and routine, it's sickening.

Now, I rise from my slumber,
Beware, my friends, the lions awake;
Search, gnarl, scavenge everything,
For rights, sights; fight with everything,
Wage your life; future is yours to take.

God This Feels Great

God this feels Great

Super , smashing , great
I have spaghetti hoops on my plate
And I am still awake way past 8
God this feels great
You see here I am king
They will bring me anything
Have you guessed it yet
I am sleeping over at me Nan's
She melts like butter in my hands
That is why this poem is a dedication to you my biggest fan
My lovely old Nan , I am your greatest fan
Is there any more food left in the pan

Premium Member Father and Son

A father was quite contrite
For his son loved him so
But as the son grew
Separation gave them a blow
Innuendos and false promises
Hormones a flutter
Unforgivable names
Shared like butter
The father grew old
The son grew up
Gods plan in the making
Wondrous and tough
A grave alone no
Marker or cross
Son comes home
Unbelievable loss
Tear stained face
But nothing to gain
Empty Will for him
Only himself to blame

Ancient serpent

I like gita, so am I Ra, displaced field, you sow the sod, the undue passage is left here as a message, the messiah of goodness has left us a passage, clearly the light at the end of the tunnel leads out, like spinnails in curtains and an inordinate stop, the sign painted red heralds the fellows, broken deaf mutes, palaver with others. The sun god opens verses biblical like butter, this too spreads that sornet the beddum of hellers.
