Lifeboat
JUST ERASE ME
A SIDE NOTE
I AM NOT THE ONE
WITH THE PIECES
I PULL APART
SHATTER AND BREAK
I CAN'T HOLD YOU UP
TO THE LIGHT
JUST LET GO
THERE IS NO ROOM
FOR TWO
ON THIS LIFEBOAT.

My Life Boat
Whirlpools of loneliness were pulling me down, you were my lifeboat. With all my effort I forced myself to push toward you. Your kisses, your smiles, your touch saved me from my lonely life.

Let That Ship Sail
Mayday!
Mayday!
This heavy heart is drowning me
I'm distressed and in a panic
And so far away from shore

Call the coast guard!
Send out an SOS!
I'm not equipped to say goodbye
In unchartered waters, you left me behind
Alone
To navigate your stormy seas...

Premium Member What Is Bad Management
Bad management isn't that like the captain and the crew of a sinking ship telling his passengers that there is not a thing he can do but he'll do his best to save their lives but yet the captain and the 2 first mates escape in the lifeboat while the passengers drown...

Song of An Unseen Bird
In a thin-skinned lifeboat,
On the waves of love,
With the cold blue below,
And the hot sun above,
Sits a soul softly rowing,
Like the wings of a dove.
As the heat of sweet resistance,
Echoes hard with pure insistence,
Then, in the midst, a sound is heard,
Of the song of an unseen bird....

Every foul thought or
wicked intention
is a stinger to the soul
an infection in the mind
a bruising of the heart...
poking holes in the lifeboat of life.

Every good thought
or golden intention
is balm to the soul
a feather in the mind
buoying the heart..
a Northstar above the lifeboat of life...

His Love
Controlling my heart like cruise control,
Manually jerking the gears of my life,
His crashing waves of love,
Determined to sink Hate's lifeboat.

The tissue of my tears,
Wiping the winshield into reality,
Honorable suits,
Wrinkled by Todays,
Ironed by Tomarrows.
Deeper than trenches is his love for me....

Sink Or Swim
Caught in a sea of memory
Adrift with false security
You claw for the shore
But you need to see more
You're drowning in your own history

There's a lifeboat chartered on give and take
You'll pay the price for the choice you make
So play with the band
Or paddle toward land
Perhaps your ocean is merely a lake...

Searing Heat
An ascetic dies in a shoe
spilling blood.
A surreal moon
wants to investigate –

a sectarian divide of
fraudulent sky.
And you want to be buried
under rose petals –

courting controversies
to clean the polluted river.
A lifeboat was needed
to take you for a quiz –

singing national anthem.
Emblematic,
You were sharpening
your nails.

Premium Member Inland Seagulls
I hear the distinctive cry of seagulls
Although I am far from the sea

In my imagination I see
A violent sea, with crashing waves
Spray raining down onto the promenade
Fishermen stranded in their boats, awaiting rescue
The lifeboat traversing it’s ramp into the sea

Wheeling seagulls caterwaul to each other
“Today, the fish are too deep to catch,
We need to eat – let’s fly inland
And scavenge instead of fishing”....

faith in the universe

Sinking
I always thought a captain
Had to go down with his ship.
Forgetting this, for captains,
Seems to be a major slip.

As passengers were scrambling
To keep themselves afloat,
The captain was observing from
The safety of his boat.

A lifeboat is the one I mean,
Away from the disaster.
The sinking ship, where he belonged,
Once hailed him as its master.

Of course there’ll be a price to pay
And he can only lose.
Another reason why I never
Plan to take a cruise!...

Casualty of Loss
Casualty of Loss

Drifting in murky waters
shadows lengthening
with sorrow’s darkness blight.
Cobwebbed remembrances
take flight, taking with it
prism’s life-light

Shades of gloom
mist yonder shores
obscuring vision, while
leeching into the life source
stagnating the living waters.

Cruel fate laps brutally
against the sands of time
while memories smother
and are swept away
on death borne
callus waves

Lifeboat sinking
with life’s bleedings
along shadowed shores....
