The Laundromat
I enjoy watching
Clothes tumble in the dryer
At the laundromat;
It reminds me of sunset
And its swiftly changing hues....

Laundromat, 9:12 P.M.
Sixteen unique individuals
sit on sixteen washing machines.

As they make small-talk
they stare at sixteen dryers, all in a row
chugging and churning to the same hum....

Premium Member Confident Cousin Claire
At the laundromat a girl who could not find a chair
Sat in a dryer, her attitude was beyond compare
She did not care who gawked or gave her a stare.
I know her well, she is my self-confident cousin, Claire....

Emotional Laundromat
emotional laundromat
memories placed
within the
washing machine
of the wounded soul
cleansing of the
negative residue
that resides within
the broken heart
place negativity
within the dryer
shrinking emotional
scars...

Laundry Day
I'm a mind raper
I'm a fine rapper
You'd better stay out of my way
Cause my nine's always strapped
Even on laundry day
Got my glock tucked in my sweatpants
Quarter cup of Tide® Enhance™
Roll up to the laundromat
You want yo titties autographed?...

In a Cloud of Smoke
Long ago in a Laundromat
A couple of hippies just met
One asked the other if he smoked weed
He replied, "Every chance I get!"

With the police station next door
Behind the building's where they went
But soon became quite worried
Alarmed by the smokes ascent!

Frantically swatting at the cloud
They quickly gave up the attack
When they saw they were standing
In front of a vent in the back!...

She Made a Mess and Then It Spilled
"SHE MADE A MESS AND THEN IT SPILLED"

lies, lies, lies.
tears, tears, tears.
I'm sorry, I'm sorry,
I'm sorry.
I'll pick you up at ten.
I need to do laundry.
off to Wal-Mart we go
where we buy nothing.
we arrive at the laundromat,
mad,
irritated,
on edge,
shoelaces ready to snap.
she drops her soda,
I run as she cleans
and return with a refill.
her mess is now my mess.
damn!
men weren't wired fairly.

What She Doesn'T Know
Whether outside to play or being dropped off for a party.

"Mind your p's and q's young lady," I was always told.

If only she knew what I knew when she wasn't in my presence.

Playing house in the laundromat and kissing my pretend husband.

Seven minutes in heaven and spin the bottle.

But when called inside she knows not a thing.

Being picked up from a party no trouble was I, for she knows not what I know and
that's how it's going to be....

The Kiss of Chaos
The kiss of chaos
chaotic kisses,
what a gaudy
goody
this
is.
Tiny increments
of change,
lick your lips
and rearrange,
molecules
and atoms
charged,
with a random love
at large.

met you in a laundromat
feeling old and feeling fat
kissed you on a daring whim
chaos dancing on the brim,
of a mouth
like
neverwas
in my dreams and just
because.

Kiss of chaos,
random acts
altering
chaotic facts
stack the cards and
tilt the game,
I just relit
an old
flame....
