Memory Of Grand Teton

Touching beauty
if just for an instant
if caught by its magic
— if only just once

Political Disfunction

Politics is like a spaghetti junction
not knowing the right direction

Politics always has a malfunction
that always leads to disfunction

Disfunction Junction

pressed beyond the point of break, with no known destination, the last word left the station, trailing silence in its wake…

Walkin' the Dog

I walked my dog down by the junction
When he had a canine malfunction
He jumped on a snake
A bite he did take
And now he has reptile dysfunction.

Five Bucks Says It Doesn'T

A Book's a dear friend
     transports me to distant lands

Money thinks it serves the same function ~
'til it runs out of gas at the junction

Above the Junction

R-ain
H-as been

Backwater Junction

Backwater junction in a backwoods town
Rusty and creepier than a carnival clown
Timber rattlesnakes hide their slanted eyes
No one visits this woodpile, no big surprise

Kneeling Without Feeling

A loser from Effingham Junction
received, from the Pope, Blessed Unction.
When they ordered him, “Down!”,
“That I am,” said the clown,
“They call it Erectile Dysfunction.”

January--Revised

Junction of old and new
Journey begins this month
Junk those old calendars
Joyful celebrants meet
Jackets replaced with coats
Jack Frost brings icy blasts
Journal’s blank pages wait

Zen mode

looking outward
feeling inward
the junction point
is toroidal heart

attention stilled
poised and animated
in agendaless vibrance
creates a bliss pulse

the ignition renewal
is continual
as we so become
the flame

Way To Heaven

He met an angel at a cross junction,
and asked him "where can I find a place
to find peace, without pretence that I
have peace?"

The angel smiled, and touched his chest.
"The Way to Heaven is within you...." he replied.

Morning Sun Comes Up

M-orning sun comes up
A-gain above the junction,
Y-our whole life is warmed.

A-nother day breaks,
N-ew dawn has given your heart
N-o hurt, pain, and harm.

At the Junction of Hope and Despair

At the desert junction
        of hope and despair
     We scanned the horizon
        to seek passage there

     Yet just when despair
       loomed ahead in the sand
     Emerged hope, our oasis
       on a prayer's caravan

Two Visions

A walking contradiction
  like all those who bleed

‘My heart headed one way
  my mind in the lead’

‘My mind headed one way
  my heart in the lead’

A tale of two visions
 —the truth in between

Hooray I Am Back

A dash on excitement tender passion warm my leaden mind; lavish, pungent perfumes drift thru torn, intimate halls; chuckling from the cookhouse table, our constant, unique, only junction, drown me amorously…and I am near!

Behold the Sunrise

B-ehold the sunrise,
E-arly in the fresh morning,
V-iewing the ascent.
E-ye the bright beacon
R-ising above the junction,
L-ight in the sky shines,
Y-our heart is warmed by the dawn

Now That the Beacon Rises

E-arly morning breaks,
D-ark shadows have disappeared,
N-ew day dawns again.
A-fter the evening,
L-ight shines above the junction,
Y-our heart is just warmed,
N-ow that the beacon rises.

Wounded Sigh

my mother is strong
     and she cries
every day is one away
     from the first destruction.

my father is weak
     and he dies
each year spent in search
     for the end.

I am the junction
     and I sigh
with the struggle to know
     the power of the present.

one step at a time

synapses continued their neuronal junction
long after the seed’s path had been planted

the miracle proceeded in mind and mindfulness
as the journey became her labour of love

prismatic eyes shone once again in a mirror
polychromatic and full of compassion and trust

Wonder of Creation and Love

How does language function?
To explore it and brain's junction!

Does the subconsciousness prove who's boss?
Somehow I am at a loss!

And how does it tie to the spiritual thing?
Know somehow Jesus is King!

So happy to start the quest
Feel as if I've really been blessed!

Odion's Moved Motion

The world is a stage,
Everyone is entitled to his platform,
Showcase all you have got,
No beef,no foe,
Let love and unity,
For all we need is one love within,
One love one nation,
In this build a great nation,
At this junction I say:a better nation,
ODION moves the motion.

Still Life

Still Life

Bound for the junction,
the 15 Streetcar heads up the avenue,
change machine chewing on coins like a man with tobacco.
It moans along, sometimes choking,
catching its electric breath to pull the hill.
Smelling of rubber and current, a few sparks spit farewell.

Get a Rope

Gun slinger
    Matt Zinger

Dressed in black
     Didn't come back

High Noon
    Was Doomed

Quick Draw
      McGraw

Got A Rope
   Hung that dope

Undertaker Called
    Dead Body Hauled

Poured the whisky
     From Junction 60

Dead Man's Trail
  Where slingers failed
